In the branded mid-range box were just the soundbar itself and a well written and comprehensive user guide. Build quality seems excellent and weighing in at 2.16 pounds the 16.42 x 2.99 x 2.68 inch device feels substantial and made to last. The soundbar has a matt black finish with a fine mesh speaker grill along almost all the front face with a discreet logo centrally positioned and a 3.5mm headphone port on the right. On the front lower face is a long multicolored LED light with a second green LED array on the bar end. On the other end is the large multi-purpose control wheel used to customise volume, select lighting modes, set up and configure Bluetooth connections, play/mute audio and answer or reject incoming calls. The device has a split hardwired 1.4m cable, with USB for power and a standard 3.5mm plug for audio. I was pleased to see the soundbar features the latest Bluetooth 5 wireless technology which means connections will be faster, easy to initiate, lag-free and more stable. To set up Bluetooth, after connecting the USB power port, long-press the control knob and the LED bar will flash blue/red and as it does so connect your Bluetooth sound source to the soundbar which shows up as 'SK010'. When connected the LED will revert to the previous display and the soundbar will beep, it will beep again when disconnected. The soundbar will automatically connect to the sound source when detected again. Long press again to turn Bluetooth off. The unit offers four modes for the front LED: Color Gradient (default), Breathing Gradient, Rhythm, and off. They all work well and look good without ever being too obtrusive. The sound quality is good considering the size of the speakers with a decent level of punchy bass and a higher register that is not too sharp or sibilant. Audio quality through headphones is excellent as you would expect with the speakers automatically muting What are my suggestions for the next version? I would hope it would have pluggable rather than hard-wired cables,a microphone, a USB hub feature and perhaps a slightly lower price point as the current price although not excessive is not the cheapest I have seen. They have an attractive design with small transparent globes housing the 160 LED’s which are warm white and add a pleasant effect to the summer garden or home. The set I selected is warm white but a multicoloured version is also available. Presentation in an attractive and well-designed box is nice containing the 18m length LED string set with hard-wired combined battery/Solar Panel/control box, and ground/wall mount. No user guide was included in the set I received and none was needed. The 1.8cm diameter globes are very attractive and far better than bare LED’s and although made from some form of plastic or resin, they do look like they are made from glass. The globes themselves are spaced at 15 cm intervals giving a total length of 18M including a 2M lead. The lights are powered by an 800mAh NI-MH battery built into the control box, with the solar panel on the top supported by the ground spike mount. It should take 6-8 hours of sunlight to charge the battery enough for 8-12 hours of nighttime use. The light sensor in the control panel will turn the unit on automatically at dusk and off in the morning. The unit is operated by two buttons on the underside of the control box, one to turn it On/Off and the other to scroll through the eight available lighting modes. Unlike with some rivals I have tested I was pleased to see that the buttons are clearly identified although the current button settings are not which makes it hard to tell if the power button is Off or if the battery is dead. The lighting modes are combination, waveform, sequence, slow light, chase/flash, slow fading, blink/flash, and steady. The integrated memory function will remember the last mode used and revert to it when next used. The lighting string is IP65 water-resistant, enough to keep it protected from everything the British weather can throw at it. It should be fine for winter use but I will probably keep mine indoors through the dark northern winter where I live and bring it out again in the spring. Once in position, the warm white lighting set does look good, aided perhaps by the large size of the glass effect lighting globes. Certainly, when correctly positioned they can add some real style to your garden or patio. If you need a set of decent quality robust outdoor globe string lights then this would be a very decent buy. Although lightweight, the build quality seems fine and the camera has an attractive and modern design. It has a silk white plastic finish but the build quality seems good. On the front is PTZ the lens with Night Vision LEDs, an LED to show Wifi and power status and the microphone opening. Below the lens and hidden when the lens is pointing down, is a panel protecting the SD card slot and reset button. Use the screwdriver provided to open the panel. On the rear at the back is the screw adapter for the wifi antenna. Inside the base are the ethernet input port, USB power connector cable outlet. Unlike most cameras of this type no external mains power supply is needed as the device is entirely USB powered with a standard USB adapter plug included. The camera is rated IP66 weatherproof which means it should be fine with anything short of water immersion. Although it has a budget price and simple design I was pleased to see that unlike many rivals this camera has an ethernet interface as well as wifi. It is always better to go with an ethernet cable connected to the router as this gives a faster and more stable signal as well as making for an easier initial setup. The first thing to do is to download and install the widely used and well respected Tuyasmart app, I tested using the Android version with a wifi connection. You have to register the app before use but doing so is free and you can use a disposable email address to do so. Take note to ensure the phone used to configure the camera is connected to a 2.4Ghz network, not 5Ghz, which this camera does not support. You can also install it, as I did, using an ethernet cable and then add the wifi details later. After installing and registering the app and plugging in the camera follow the in-app instructions to add a new camera. After inputting your home wifi details the app automatically and very quickly sends this to the camera which then connects automatically to the wifi network with on-screen and voice confirmations throughout. It is worth noting that the camera will also work with the equally widely used Smart Life app. This model has a clean 1080P image quality which is clearly not the upscaled 720p of some lesser rivals. Video quality from the 355° horizontal and 110° vertical rotating wide-angle 3.6mm lens is one of the best I found for this price bracket although the slow frame rate is disappointing. Unlike with older budget security cameras, this one boasts an i/r cut filter which when not needed removes the nighttime infrared filter to ensure good colour fidelity daytime images. It supports two-way audio which means it serves well as a general-purpose communications Monitor. Like most rivals, this camera has motion detection but unlike most in this range also offers object tracking. The lack of audio in/out ports means external hardware cannot be used to improve the rather feeble audio quality. It offers full integration with the Amazon Alexa and Google home ecosystems which allow for voice control of the camera with the option to view camera streams on selected video devices. The camera has the option to save video and audio within the app as well as to the SD card or to an optional cloud connection.
