With inspiration from the announcement of Marathon from Bungie I decided to create a piece of music I felt would fit this world. As some of you may know I have also done this for Cyberpunk 2077 as well. The Climb is a song in the Augmented Tribal genre of music from 2800. It has many augmented or synthesized traits of tribal music while also taking inspiration from modern day trip hop. The notes and instruments used are purposeful in creating tension, uneasiness and anticipation of something momentous being right around the corner. Almost as a preparation or hype song for the battle of what is ahead in such a cold and calculated world. The climax of the music is when the action hits, you are in the moment, laser focused and the drums are on full blast rolling through the emotions.
