When you see the bears playing with each other you can see how rough they play. Compare that to when they play with Jim or Susan and you can CLEARLY see how they take pains to be more gentle with their human friends. They really do get it!

Yesterday we showed you the girls boxing and wrestling...here is the same thing in bigger version - with the boys, Jimbo and Leo. The girls are around 400 pounds. Leo is about 900 and Jimbo over 1400. But the play-fighting still stays calm between them all. This would not be likely in the wild.

Jenny digging a hole. A little known fact about bears is that they absolutely LOVE to dig holes. Once they get started they have a hard time tearing themselves away. Frank was so obsessed with his hole the other day he wouldn’t come when he was called - and held up dinner for 20 minutes!

If you follow us on Facebook you know that we got in a very seriously injured baby bear cub. Here is his first attempt at eating solid food since his accident.
---------------------
Yesterday our Little Bear progressed to eating some solid food! He kept his eyes open much more throughout the day and tried to stand and move around much more often. He currently can not stand on his own, but that is to be expected at this point.
These are all great signs....but obviously he is far from out of the woods. Here is a video of him eating a little bit of peach. His first solid food since the accident. Keep in mind that he is far from out of the woods...all of these things give us great hope, but I want everyone to understand that it is still extremely possible that we will lose him and still possible that he may be brain damaged or crippled.
So please keep him in your thoughts, please keep those prayers coming and please, please, PLEASE consider a donation. We have decided to move along as if he WILL survive and we need to prepare and build a better enclosure for him. He needs to be in a smaller space (if he starts to improve more) than our current cub enclosure, and he needs to be in a bigger space than he is now during convalescence. Please please consider a donation. You can click the donation button on our website orphanedwildlife.org and I will also set up a GoFundMe later today. THANK YOU!
Due to the crazy (and many rude and foul-mouthed) comments that are being posted here, we haver disabled comments for our channel. We have a VERY active Facebook page and we invite you to visit and share comments with us there. Also visit us on the web at orphanedwildlife.org
