I created this animation nearly 3 years ago... Not only is it one of my most ambitious animation projects to date, but it is also one of the most meaningful to me on a personal level. I know it's not as happy and fun as most of the things I create on my channel, but I feel it's important to me that I sometimes dive a little deeper and create something with emotional depth.
Some of you may have seen it already, but the video had seemingly slipped into the YouTube netherverse, never to see the light of day. So, I chose to re-upload in order to give this animated short a second chance at life.
That being said, I hope you enjoy watching this re-release and find some meaning in it. If you do, please feel free to share it with others as I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for watching and all of your support and encouragement.
Day 97
Every day I animate for 1 hour. I have no idea what I will animate each day... I begin each new animation exactly where the last one left off. There is no story that I am trying to tell or message I want to get across. I am just letting my mind go where it wants.
Each segment is 100% drawn frame by frame. There is no tweening or copy/paste. The idea is not to achieve perfection... but improvement... by facilitating a natural flow of creativity.
At various milestones, I put them all together into one video.
The next one will be at day 180!

Day 81
So tired...
_
Every day I will animate for 1 hour. I have no idea what I will animate each day... I will begin each new animation exactly where the last one left off. There is no story that I am trying to tell or message I want to get across. I am just letting my mind go where it wants.
Each segment will be 100% drawn frame by frame. There will be no tweening or copy/paste. The idea is not to achieve perfection... but improvement... by facilitating a natural flow of creativity.
My hope is that eventually, I will put all of the segments together, creating a seamless transition showcasing the essence of practice.

It's crazy to me how far we've come with this series. It just keeps getting better and better and it's all because of you!
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the series so far. I can't wait to see what we animate next!
Had you seen every episode?

Day 23:
Can you tell that I am absolutely letting go of perfection? Probably not. I'm assuming it looks pretty much the same as everything else I create... but that's ok. we are only about 1/10 of the way through the project. There is still a lot more growth to be had... or gained... or whatever.
I made a blob with arms. What more do you want?
