Ministry of gender, labor and social development has dispatched over 3 billion shillings for the Uganda women entrepreurship and youth livelihood programme to those groups the applied for the fund.
Minister of gender Betty Amongi says the funds will be given to only those districts that have recovered the money borrowed before.
Some of the districts include Ibanda, Lira, Kumi among others.
The 6 billion, ninety seven million shillings is to be distributed among women and youth groups in different districts including Wakiso, Kazo, Iganga.
Only districts that have retrieved the money are to benefit though there have been challenges in recovery attributed to the effects of covid 10 pandemic.
The youths and women have been implored to start up projects through their groups in a bid to fight unemployment.

In the recent reshuffle by President Museveni, the Ministry of ICT maintained its ministerial leadership, with Dr. Chris Baryomunsi as Cabinet Minister, and Joyce Sebugwawo and Godfrey Kabbyanga as State Ministers.
Kabbyanga has committed to steering the mandate of digital transformation and development, as stated during his meeting with Urban Council Speakers of the Western Region at an annual general meeting held in Kasese.
