Sony Pictures dropped a Venom teaser trailer for the movie releasing October 5, 2018. Tom Hardy is playing Eddie Brock / Venom and the cast is composed of great performers like Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Reid Scott, which is the least of my worries with this movie. Fans always point to the cast as a metric of possible success for this movie but that metric is woefully outdated. Great actors can make crappy movies and I'm wondering how they're going to do this with limited involvement from Spider-Man and Tom Holland. I'm enthused to see if Tom Hardy is up to the task and title of "Lethal Protector".
