Gameplay recorded by Retronomicon (NVSGamer)
"Final Fight CD" on the Sega CD, released in 1993, is a port of the classic arcade beat 'em up game that gained popularity on various platforms. Developed by Capcom, this version aimed to bring the arcade experience to the Sega CD console. Here's a review:
Gameplay (8/10): "Final Fight CD" retains the core gameplay of the arcade original, allowing players to select one of three characters: Haggar, Cody, or Guy, and fight their way through side-scrolling levels filled with street thugs. The controls are responsive, and the combat feels satisfying, offering a variety of moves and attacks. The gameplay remains true to the arcade version, providing a classic beat 'em up experience.
Graphics & Sound (7/10): Visually, the game replicates the arcade's graphical style on the Sega CD hardware. The character sprites and environments are detailed, capturing the gritty urban atmosphere of Metro City. The soundtrack, while limited due to the Sega CD's audio capabilities, delivers a decent rendition of the arcade's music, enhancing the game's overall ambiance.
Level Design (7/10): The level design in "Final Fight CD" is well-executed, offering diverse environments and enemy encounters across multiple stages. Each level presents its challenges, with varying enemy types and boss fights that maintain the game's momentum.
Additional Content (6/10): Compared to the arcade version, "Final Fight CD" includes additional features such as a time attack mode and the ability to play as all three characters in single-player mode. These additions provide some extra replay value, though they might not significantly alter the core gameplay experience.
Replayability (7/10): The game's replay value is moderate. While the core gameplay is enjoyable, the lack of significant changes or new content compared to the arcade version might limit long-term replayability for some players. However, the multiplayer aspect and diverse character selection contribute to replay value.
Legacy & Impact (9/10): "Final Fight" holds a significant place in beat 'em up gaming history, and the Sega CD version, while not vastly different from its arcade counterpart, brought this classic title to a new audience on the Sega CD platform.
Overall (7.5/10): "Final Fight CD" successfully brings the arcade experience of the classic beat 'em up to the Sega CD console. With its faithful gameplay, decent graphics, and satisfying combat, it remains a solid choice for fans of the genre and a testament to the enduring appeal of classic arcade-style action games.

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is a third-person shooter video game developed by Yuke's and published by D3 Publisher for the PlayStation 4. It is a spin-off of the Earth Defense Force series, similar to Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, geared more toward Western audiences with a more serious tone compared to the main series by Sandlot. A Japanese release date was initially set for late 2018, but the game was delayed into 2019. It was released simultaneously worldwide on April 11, 2019.
Like previous entries in the series, Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is a third-person action shooting game, where the player takes control of an Earth Defense Force soldier and battles an onslaught of alien enemies. The game features four soldier classes, the Trooper, Jet Lifter, Heavy Striker, and Prowl Rider, all of which feature the option to play as a male or female soldier. The game uses the same type of ammo system as other EDF games, with most weapons having no ammunition limit and only limited by reloading times. Enemies drop Energy Gems, which can be picked up to power the player's Energy Core. Energy Gems also serve as the in-game currency, which the player collects during missions and can subsequently use to purchase new weapons or apparel for his or her character. On some missions, the enemy Kindred Rebellion faction may enter the combat area to try and loot Energy Gems dropped by fallen Aggressors. While the Rebellion will attack Aggressors, it is also hostile toward the EDF.
In addition to a campaign consisting of 52 total missions, Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain includes multiple online game modes. Players can play the co-op campaign online with up to five other players, or engage in the PvP "Mercenary Mode," where two teams of four compete to collect the most Energy Gems. One team is the EDF, while the other is the Kindred Rebellion, and both battle against waves of Aggressors and the other team to collect all dropped Energy Gems. Two-player split-screen gameplay is also available for the offline campaign.

Art of Fighting 3 for the NEOGEO MVS system. They really upped the animation in this game and the fighting is a bit more fluid. It is really interesting for it's time, having some counter moves like the Dead or Alive series is known for.
Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior, originally released in Japan as Ryuuko no Ken Gaiden (龍虎の拳 外伝), is the 1996 third entry in the Art of Fighting series. The game cast is composed of new characters, save for Robert Garcia and Ryo Sakazaki; Yuri Sakazaki also appears in the game, but as a non-playable character.
One of the game's biggest selling points was the game's motion capturing system, allowing 2D sprites with fluid and believable animations. It is one of the few games that also doesn't have an arcade perfect transition for the Neo Geo CD, as it has slightly shrunken sprites and different shades of the color palette. However, it also featured voiced win quotes for each character and endings for Sinclair and Wyler.
This game is also the only one in the series to have a short CD drama.
A translation of the official story given by SNK is as follows:
Half a year has passed since the events of the "King of Fighters" tournament. Robert Garcia worked on improving his will power and trained in the Kyokugenryo dojo everyday. On his way to his date with Ryo's sister, Yuri, Robert roars up his beloved AC Cobra and takes an easy cruise along the coastline with opposing traffic. Just at that time, a man throws himself on the road in front of him.
Robert whirled his steering wheel to stop the cutting car and shields the pedestrian from the impact. What flew from the man was a woman's traveling bag. A girl, who ran up to Robert short of breath, came to retrieve it. "(Gasp, gasp) My bag... you saved it, didn't you? Thank you so much."
"Oh, so this is your bag then? So that guy then must've been a pickpocket. It's good that you got it back in one piece."
"Yes. I really don't know how to thank... Oh? That pendant..."
The girl, who spotted Robert's old pendant, wore a matching one around her neck.
"The same one as mine. Why do you..."
"When I was a child, I received it from a wealthy friend of mine. Before he left for America, he gave it to me so that we would never forget one another."
"Huh, that must mean that you're..."
"Yes, it's me, Robert. Freia Lawrence. Have you forgotten me?"
"Of course I haven't. It's just that you're different, Freia. You used to bully me around a lot. Your father doing well?"
"My father... he's dead."
"Sorry... didn't mean to upset you..."
"No, it's all right. I'm actually heading to Glasshill Valley. Wyler, one of Father's friends, is waiting there for me."
"Hmm, and

Crossed Swords is a hack & slash action RPG arcade game developed by Alpha Denshi and published by SNK for the Neo Geo arcade system in 1990 and Neo Geo console in 1991. Its gameplay was similar to SNK's earlier 1990 first-person shooter and beat 'em up game, The Super Spy, but with role-playing game elements and hack & slash combat instead of shooting and fist-fighting.
The game allowed cooperative gameplay with up to two players on the same screen. As only the player characters' silhouettes are visible on screen as wire-frame models, much like Punch-Out!!, the game's perspective may be considered either first-person or third-person. The game was later cited as an inspiration for the 2010 first-person fighting game Rage of the Gladiator. A sequel of the game entitled Crossed Swords II was released in Japan on May 2, 1995 for the Neo-Geo CD, and was one of the few games designed specifically for the Neo-Geo CD, rather than being an arcade port.
