Been messing around with VR a bit while my sister is letting me borrow her headset, and found a free plugin called CONVAI that will let you add NPC's that you can customize and talk to. you can even give them a backstory. this one is a sample character, but if you'd like to check it out, here's a link to the plugin.

So now that we can craft some potions, lets make them actually DO something. don't want to just carry them around as a trophy, so we'll go over how to get them to actually restore our health and mana. at the moment our mana recharges over time, but if you need a boost, a mana potion is good to have. we'll also be setting it up so that we can upgrade the potions potency later on when we get into our skill tree system

We can Use items now, so let's set up the functionality to actually register our weapons and tools as "equipped" and pick up our old ones if we have something else already equipped. we'll also set up the attack trace function to apply damage and register which player caused the hit so we can later distribute XP appropriately to only the players that actually engaged in combat.
