How intermittent fasting works. I've been intermittent fasting for well over 6 months now and I've had some AWESOME results. It's a unique way of eating, where you only eat within certain eating periods or an 'eating window'. This means your body is in a 'fasted state' for several hours a day. By being in this fasted state, you increase human growth hormone (HGH) and your body burns FAT for fuel instead of SUGARS.
