Identify The Injury
If you have an injury around L5-S1 in the lower back, you may have lower back pain, pain in the leg, buttocks or toe, sciatica or switching from one leg to another. With all those potential symptoms, treating it as solely a lower back problem is so important rather than the symptoms that are appearing. Sometimes people can misidentify the hip as the buttocks as well.
Mobility
We want to make sure the muscles are making things worse. In the clinic we use the vibration tool to relax the muscles around the hips, hamstrings, glutes and calf. At home, you would be using isolated stretching to improve flexibility and mobility so those areas of the body can take more of the strain than the lower back.
Healing
Creating a healing environment is not as easy at home as we make it in the clinic. Our laser therapy creates an ideal healing environment. You need good circulation to take away waste products from an injury and flush through the area. Using ice over the site of the injury will help to lower inflammation, which your body will naturally flush with circulation as soon as you remove the ice to bring it back to normal temperature. Don’t use heat on the area as this will make it worse.
Unloading
Most back injuries are caused by too much compression in the spine. We don’t use knee hugs or stretches here to do this. In the clinic we use spinal decompression to relieve the pressure on a specific area. At home, the towel stretch replicates this as closely as possible to unload the discs to help restore your lower back alignment.
Rehab
This is vital and requires consistency. If you’ve had a problem for years and the reason these problems come back is because no rehabilitation is being done. Improving the core, back and leg muscles can help rehabilitate to prevent the problem coming back.

how you can make your back pain worse
and you'll be surprised to know that
some of these tips or these little
mistakes would have been given to you by
people in the past being practitioners
or online I'll explain why those basics
if you don't understand that then you're
gonna keep doing them or similar things
and you're gonna make your back worse so
fundamentally what is back pain what
causes back there in the over 100 G of
cases you probably already if you've
seen any real videos see me says before
is this compression so fairly everybody
to deal with compression going through
the spine in its irritating some
structures either a one-off event
lifting something heavy or putting your
child in the car seat picking something
up off the ground putting their socks on
or so repetitive stress its that sitting
of the office every day without posture
slowly grinding down those discs and
causing that wear and tear process the
results or that low low weight back
exits local addresses over time now the
number one thing you can do that makes
it worse is knee tucks people all the
time get given these knee hugs where you
pull your knees aggressively towards
your chest to try and open up the spaces
at the bottom of the spine here the
problem is as we pull them forwards you
shift your weight onto the discs and
starts washing their discs and if the
discs are one of the main components of
your back aid there's most most back
pain it's multidimensional there's a bit
of disk there's a bit of facet involved
it's a bit of other soft tissues around
there if you're pulling noses on the
back and squashing the discs on the
front bang you might that's probably how
you did the injury in the first place
it's not going to be very helpful let me
reopen those wounds and although it
generally feels nice on the muscle spasm
muscle spasm is not a bad problem while
spasm is a reaction to a back problem
which makes the back problem worse so
