Today 2-7-2017 Schrade Middle school went on a required lockdown. Sources told me that the school received a bomb threat. We were very worried because our daughter was inside the school. We managed to finally pickup our daughter from the staging area after the kids were all removed from the school and accounted for. The police had dogs searching the building. We also heard from several kids that there were several big bang sounds and after that the teachers shut all the lights off and made the kids be very quiet. I have not heard of an official cause for all the police and fire department presence. Several different police departments were involved along with the Rowlett Fire department. I grabbed my camera and tried to film what I could. My apologies for the shaky footage but everything was shot handheld.
