Deep Rock Galactic - Driller Promotion Part 4 (Aquarq Extraction Low Oxygen)
The promotion for the Driller reaches its conclusion. Here we have one of my most despised mission types, as we have to dig out these annoying blue rocks, and then run them to a mine head since we do not have Molly with us. There are turrets offering cover fire, but these missions escalate extremely quickly, meaning most of these are a race against time. And that is not even counting the oxygen situation...
The Driller and the Gunner are the best characters to have for these. The Gunner can lay out zip lines to make transport significantly easier. The Driller can create routes that make transport much simpler than needed. Sadly, the Scout cannot zip with them. The Engineer can create platforms, but it is much trickier and I am not sure if you can vault up them.

Like last time, I am trying to use someone who I will not use very often in the maps for the easy one, and I opt for Nell since I don't like using someone RNG reliant. Unlike in the first game, the new defending CO is Andy, and he has access to his Super to give him a surge of healing, which can catch people off guard and allow him to turn around the map. Just be thorough with your targets, not giving him much to heal, and you can take him down.

I will end up doing Team Star quite a bit out of order, as apparently we were supposed to start with the Dark Crew on the other side of the map. Since this was my first time fighting them, I didn't have everything aligned properly to make things smoother, and this is one where they can run away with things on account of the random Speed Boost ability that comes out of nowhere. It could have been pretty bad if not for Charcadet being able to absorb the worst of the moves, so it turns into a battle of attrition I can easily win due to all of the items I've collected. My lack of evolution problem needs to be resolved, and due to the length of the video, you get to see how far I resort to remedy it.

Sadly, we only have the one difficulty, so we're pretty much done after the first round provided we get enough questions correct. The goal is to get 10 out of 15, but there is a better reward for a better performance. Sadly, at this level, the reward is still fairly miniscule. The only reason I recommend playing this at all right now is for the Epoch Bell that comes from it.

The time has come for us to find out how deep Revache's rabbit hole goes. With Dudley at our side, we make our move into their base and have to deal with the various automated defenses as all human personnel have evacuated. In one side, we have to deal with the various animals they have tamed while on the other we get to see more archaisms that have been somewhat scarce until now. Once both have been conquered, we have one final opponent and then we hit the mother lode.
Also worth mentioning, in order to get the last ultimate armor, I end up fighting the treasure chest monsters that I have held off until now. You will see me clear all of them out as it does take every last one of them to get it. Can't catch a break I tell you.

And here is the first wake-up call of the game where the gloves come off and an enemy goes for blood. Here we have the first of the bosses added into the first Japanese re-release of the game, which is the Fiend, Matador. Going with the theme of bull fighting, this Fiend specializes in dodging and hammers you with the wind element. His damage is so high, that you pretty much need an entire wind immune team to survive unless you do some major grinding.
With the Magatama Hifumi, the Demi-Fiend will be safe, but you're going to need a team to back you up. The best things you can have would be someone with Sukukaja to enhance your accuracy, Sukunda to offset his Capote, or Dekaja to completely erase the bonus. I'm not sure if any demon has the latter of the three, but it is possible to find the others. From there, I just need to use my overwhelming strength to smash the Fiend so we can enter Ikebukuro and move onto the next ordeal.

Having gone through the lab, we find ourselves at the gate, which is an amazing grinding spot. You have the means to go up a few levels here, and I recommend doing so as it can save you time later on as you won't have to grind at an inferior spot. It may make the boss here considerably easier since you have the means to overwhelm it, but due to the number of secret bosses this game has, you can make up the difference in difficulty later.
As for the story, when Zeikfried goes down, he ends up revealing Rudy as being a non-human in the process (did you wonder why he couldn't use magic?). This is going to start a series of events where we need to get his arm fixed and we learn how he fits into the big picture and why he is able to use ARMs that others cannot. I won't call out the mistranslation until later on, so just be patient if you're wondering why it is weird...
