The Taurus Curve has been out for a year now, but this was our first opportunity to shoot one.
Karl thinks it's a unique and not necessarily worthless idea; it's a niche design for a niche application but for a right handed person looking specifically for a comfortable to carry last-ditch personal defense pistol, it's worth looking at.
Ian thinks it is too wide, and would prefer something like a Ruger or KelTec sub-sub-sub-compact. The trigger is really long, and the curve itself is not lefty-compatible.

While the @BerettaCommunity APX series of pistols were mostly designed for the U.S. Armed Forces' XM17 Modular Handgun System competition, they were not selected, even though they passed all of the testing requirements.
With that unfortunate result, Beretta has added a few variants to the APX line and are selling them to the civilian market at a very competitive price.

Welcome to Stage 4 - climb the table, engage the moving targets, walk the plank, shoot from the confined space, crawl through the tunnel, swing over the pit, draw your pistol and neutralize the rest!
This year Karl and Russell Phagan (Sinistral Rifleman) worked together on this video series, both of them shooting in Armored Trooper.
Karl is using a highly modified AK74 in an attempt to see how competitive he can be with a Kalashnikov platform, along with a Hudson H9 modified with a Delta Point Pro, and Sinistral Rifleman is using his top of the line KE Arms 15 and KE19 Stealth Special.
We used this match to do something a little different: discussing strategies on how to shoot the stages, along with post stage analysis of those strategies (success or failure).

Stage 4 - Push the nearly unmovable sled through the sand first, then get to the rooftop prop, get on the roof, load your rifle and engage three long range targets from that terrible position multiple times. Don't time out!
We follow this stage four with final conclusions about the match, the rifles, and the optics.
This is where the rubber hits the road with both of these configurations. How will the ZFK do? Does a magnifier really help at these distances with a red dot? Let's find out!
AZ2G is a new match venue that has started at Cowtown, Peoria, AZ: http://www.az2gun.com/
The DNA of this match is very similar to that of 2G-ACM, although with different scoring and divisions.
We used this new match as an opportunity to pit a AK74 with a East German 4x ZFK scope against an M4 with a Holosun HS503G & Vortex 3x magnifier against each other in competition.
The goals are to discuss the rifles as well as the optics using competition as the testing ground.
This 4 stage series will culminate in reviews of the Holosun & Vortex magnifier as well as the East German 4x ZFK.
