Looking at our new universal body mount bracket kit options. We've now developed a universal body / cab mount bracket kit that will fit a wider number of vehicles. Previously, our brackets had a fixed frame-mounting bolt distance and needed to be custom fabricated for every application. The new bracket is set up with a slotted hole to fit anything from 2.5" - 3.5" (63mm - 90mm) frame to mounting bolt spacing in the raw form. It's also easy to weld on additional metal to extend the bracket out wider if needed. Brackets are available in weld-on or bolt-on, with or without polyurethane bushings and with or without body mount bolts and other hardware. Looking at the various Toyota Motor Mount Spacers we make and what they used for. Shout out to Drew of Persson Off-Road Systems who first came up with this idea back in the late 1990s. I saw a set of these on his 1st generation 4Runner on a 4x4 trip up in the high Sierra. He said he wasn't interested in making more of these so I designed and made a set for my truck a few years later. I had recently gone from a 1" to a 3" body lift and wanted to improve the break over angle on the truck by raising the low hanging drive train and gas tank. Still running that first prototype pair of spacers 20 years later. This has been one of the best modifications I've done on my truck. Sure, you could put bigger tires on to get similar clearance. But for every 1" of added clearance, you need a 2" taller tire with the subsequent lift and gearing to accommodate that. By raising on the engine and drive train, you minimize the center of gravity change and keep a smaller tire that puts less stress on axles. We started having requests to make more of these spacers in varying heights from 1" up to 3" and for the two main motor mount types being the 22R/E at 55° and the V6 at 48°.
