Ep 10 : Where do we go from here, Extra hard : Oxygen not included
I just realized that I'm not sure how we proceed from here. We need to get to other planets soon so we can get plastic, lead and reed fibre. But dammed if I know how we do that quickly with the resources we have access to right now. Space is going to be really hard.
What a difference Atmo suits make, the Badlands and Oil biomes fall before us. This gives us access to plastic without any tricks. We can finally build a proper industrial brick, it's amazing how different the game feels when you can ignore temperature damaging your dupes.

Randy just keeps on giving, so much giving. We finally catch some breaks near the end, it's just their is so much mech to deal with we can't kill everything fast enough. This is by far the most fun and difficult time I have ever had with Rimworld, I have to get up and take tea breaks every so often as I get so wound up trying to think about how to survive each encounter.

Just a quick update on the old rocket chimney, I'm still putting in time at it but it takes so long to get anything done at this scale that it's taking a while. We have passed the 100KW mark power wise and water wise we are siphoning out 24kg/s. I have no idea what my water costs are but who cares we have stupid amounts of water :)

Game is a bit of an odd duck. I'm getting some Factorio flavours but with a lot less transport belts and more limited expansion. Will have to get a bit deeper to see where this is going as I would be worried about running out of Iron or copper long term.

Get the oil wells up and running, they appear to be stable so far and they are the smallest variant I have ever made. Lets see how they hold up long term. After laying any enormous amount of gas and liquid pipe we are at full sustainability so long as I can keep the water balance from the Industrial power sauna. Worst case I have a salt water geyser that can tide us over. After that it's straight into decor and I go ham on sprucing up the place. This should max out all dupes at +12 moral from decor for the rest of the game. All in all a constructive session. Next up will be building up the transport grid and maybe clearing out the rest of the map and sweeping up all the debris before heading to space. I'm going to cut the lets plays back to three a week as five was just not sustainable. I'll add in a few tutorial as I go I like doing them and they are not as labor intensive.

200 pawns finally, just one more episode to knock out the noses and we can start the end game. Still not sure how we get 200 pawns off the planet without building a massive massive ship.
