Echoes Of Silence "Leivato was first formed in 2014. At that time, we were heavily influenced by melodic death metal bands such as Children of Bodom and Ensiferum. In our first two years of existence, we released some demos and played a few live shows before the band split up. But in November 2021, as the Covid pandemic was ending and with a new line-up, Leivato rose from its ashes. In the past couple of years, our music evolved significantly. As the original (and new) members grew up, our conception of music became more and more personal and experimental, which resulted in some significant changes in our approach of composing and writing. That change is perceptible throughout the course of our first album, which starts as a somewhat straightforward viking/melodic metal album and ends with a track where we explore a much more unique sound, in which we combine distorted arpeggios with heavy drumming and more intense vocals. Some of the bands that influence us the most for this new approach are Artificial Brain, Ulcerate and the Foehn Trio. All of these evolutions are much more pronounced in the demos we’re currently writing, recording and mixing.
