10X10 Thermal Reflective Tarp - The Kany/Yuedge Sunshade Rainfly
This is a close look at another personal shelter sized waterproof/water resistant tarp. This particular tarp has two things really going for it. 1) It is very inexpensive. and 2) One side of it is theremal reflective so if you like to build reflector lean to's or super shelters, this might be exactly what you need because it is far larger than any other thermal reflective tarp or blanket or sheet of mylar on the market. It is less reflective than a mylar space blanket, pretty close to the same but perhaps a bit less than a Grabber Outdoors All Weather Blanket, but it is far more reflective than the UST BASE 1.0 Tube Tarp.
This tarp has some short comings in the materials they chose for grommets and tie out points. It does not have the 3000 HH rated PU coating they claim it has (though it has been sprayed with a DWR) and this might best suit a DIY-er or a bushcrafter who doesn't mind having to overcome its shortcomings... such as it only has 6 tie out points on it and the hem is only barely attached to the material etc.
The trailblazer take down buck saw has been reincarnated! It has been brought back to life! This excellent design is now being manufactured by Filzer and has been given some improvements including a stainless steel tension bar, upgraded aluminum construction, and a very nice vibration reducing, grip increasing neoprene handle. This is by far the strongest design for a take down bow saw. It packs down to a small, relatively light weight package that easily fits in a backpack or a bicycle saddle bag. This is a very comfortable buck saw to operate and it is incredibly capable for its size.
In the interest of time, I cut out a rather long segment discussing the plastic ends Filzer puts on the saw blade. There is a plastic tab on both sides of the blade mounted to the outer hole on each side. I did show what that is for when I put the saw together on camera, and I mentioned at the end that I think a user can probably accomplish the same thing as those plastic tabs with a small hex bolt and hex nut and maybe a couple of washers. A little tinkering with a regular 18" bow saw blade will likely save a user some money and also ensure that this saw remains in service permanently... for those unwilling to tinker, I do suggest buying at least one replacement blade on the chance you wear the first one out.
NOTEWORTHY: The blades for the Filzer Buckster BBS-1 are not a direct replacement for the 18" Trailblazer. They are made differently. Do not buy a Filzer blade for your old Trailblazer Saw. It won't work.

I've been watching the "gauntlet reviews" on this product and noticed some of the comments. So, I thought I'd provide the absolute TRUTH about the Work Sharp Guided Sharpening System. This isn't a review, just the reality of this product.

This is a comparison and discussion regarding the SimpleShot FlippinOut Scout and the Simple Shot Torque slingshots (catapults). I shoot them both (and while I'm at it do the wooden nickle challenge for a free band set from SimpleShot) by shooting a wooden nickel at 33 feet.
In this video, I discuss the similarities and differences between these two slingshots (catapults) and I have quite a lot to say regarding banding methods and some specific information regarding looped tubes. There's a lot of good information in this video regarding these two slingshots. I hope you will enjoy it.

This Aqua Quest Cool Cat is a very nice soft sided cooler that doubles as a very nice padded dry bag... or maybe it's a really good padded dry bag that doubles as a soft sided cooler. In either case, this is a very well made multi-purpose product that I think should appeal to all sorts of outdoorsmen and recreationalists. I am completely impressed with this 100% waterproof soft sided thermal insulated cooler. I am also completely impressed with this 100% waterproof padded dry bag.

This is a comparison and discussion regarding a couple of excellent and nicely priced slingshots (catapults). I recently became interested in modern design and modern materials slingshots and these two were among my first purchases. I talk about using these for protein procurement (hunting) and for recreation. The FlippinOut Scout from simpleshot and the Pocket Predator Hathcock Target Sniper made by Bill Hayes are quite different from one another but I think both are very worthwhile devices. I contrast and compare some of the features, discuss the differences in the purchase experience, do a little shooting, and tell you weather or not I think these could be used for hunting small game. Both the Flippin Out Scout and the Pocket Predator Hathcock Target Sniper are capable and fun slingshots (catapults).

This is the first time in 20+ years this rifle has been fired. The 77/22 .22 Magnum All Weather with the boat paddle stock is one of my favorite firearms of all time. It's a great varmint rifle. It's light weight, easy to handle, easy to shoot, and is just a great all-around, multi-purpose, rugged, sweet shooting gun. Also shown are the Ruger American Rimfire in .22LR, the Henry US Survival Rifle AR-7 in .22 LR, and the Ruger 10/22 TDT version Take Down. Further, I give an ammo overview for .22LR and talk a little bit about it for .22WMR.
