Takahashi Shiragumo Waterfall Painted in ArtRage Vitae Part 1| Follow along as I paint my version of Shiragumo Waterfall of Nikkō by Hiroaki Takahashi. Not a 100% reproduction, I wasn’t sure if I was going to repaint the whole thing as a study or not but then decided to go ahead but add some elements that I liked too. The original painting is in the Public Domain with a CC0 license since it’s from 1910.

I hope you enjoyed this video, and it inspires you to try your hand at digital painting. You can do this, and it’s fun to use software to get that traditional world look (i.e., keep it natural and painterly) without having to drag out all the supplies (canvases, paints, brushes, etc.).
