Messing with Fake Tech Support #4 | "You spell drive Driw!?"
I don't typically make these kind of videos but this scammer wanted to pay before checking the VM, so I gave him a hard time. Not all of you will find this funny, If you all understand the "proper spelling" joke that Lewis uses in his videos quite often then this should make sense. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This scammer was a very interesting scammer for sure, He claimed that the reason the pop-up came up was to warn me about all the events in event viewer. This is completely false and nothing short of a lie. The pop-up came from mis-spelling a website and the events in event viewer are completely normal events and have no infections. He was going to try to charge me $79 for software that probably isn't legit and that I didn't need at all. The "Technician" did no real scans to check anything or perform any legit actions. Once confronted, he hung up like a coward. Go Figure. I ended up calling back and speaking to the manager who didn't give his name because he knows what crime he is committing.

March 29th, 2016, the day SPS was officially founded two years ago today. I remember this night very well and can still remember the last scambait video I watched that gave me the push to start. I talk about a few things in this video, a few changes I'd like to make some general rambling and my obnoxious opinion on 'scammer reacts' and 'scammer vs' channels.
With all this out of the way though, I want to thank all of you who have been with me since the beginning and are sticking it out and those of you who have just arrived for subscribing to follow me along on the Journey ahead. I don't know what's going to happen in the coming years but if we play our cards right, It could be big.

In this video we call a Moneygram scammer that cold calls people and tricks people into sending these thieves money. They use several tactics like saying you have won a bunch of money from the government or a grant or stating that your electric bill needs to be paid or it will be shut-off, or they flat out lie and say they are the moneygram department. This company probably uses more tactics but these were the three that were used on me in this video. If you received a call from this number, block it. It's a scam. If you were scammed by these people, report fraud IMMEDIATELY though Money Gram, Western Union or whatever they made you pay them with.

The first time I called this pop-up I got disconected. I called back and asked for the a lady I was speaking to and they guy told me she doesn't' work here. I thought whatever I'll just talk to this guy then our call got disconected. Finally I called again and I got different hold music than before and a dirent auto-attendant then I knew many companies were sharing this same fake pop-up. I ended up reaching this fake American scammer who really knew nothing about computers and he sounded like he was reading a script. They also claimed to be Microsoft when really they are Opti Tech Support. As I already knew based on the fake pop-up this company was a scam. They pulled most of the usual tricks and a few new ones that I need to add to the site.

In this video we call a scammer known as "The Phone Support" when the scammer answered the call, she said my name insinuating that I have called before. This company has some form of relation to Maxware Soft and Safeapzz soft as well. Once the scammer was connected and the call began, she used this shitware program from Safeapzz that gave fake results on everything. She ran the "Scan" on it and it showed that I had 221 junk files when in reality, when she opened the temp folder, I only had 17, and when she deleted them, the remaining 2 that wouldn't delete she said that these were the spywares on my computer. When in reality, they are still junk files, but they were open in Windows Explorer and that's why it wouldn't delete. She also lied about stopped services, saying that the stopped services needed to be removed from the computer. This of course, is false. Those services are needed, however, they all don't need to be running, They run when they are needed to run and don't run when they aren't. After all this she wanted to charge me $599.99 for issues I don't have and services I don't need.
Special Thanks to ScammerRevolts for the fake pop-up.

This was a fun call to Support Buddy, messing with them by renaming all the programs they use to something different. ex. cmd123 so when the scammer searched for "cmd" they got an error.
