K40 Laser how to build a Box or Chest Tutorial (NO Skills needed!!)
This Tutorial shows you how to simply create an interlocked box out of wood or acylic by using web based box creators. Very simple steps, 100% success for beginners!
A new tutorial in my series about the K40 Laser engraving machine review.
From minute 6:20 on there is an issue with the sound that is delayed about 5 seconds... I exported this video several times, making several severe changes but somehow the program messed it up again and again.... I hope it still is somehow understandable even for people who aren't yet bundled beams of power nerds;)! If not i will try to answer your questions in the description below or make another video that is slower and easier to understand.
Also i want to know from you, (the maker people) in what content you are interested in the most? Or if you want to see more videos about the K40? Oh! And if i should add a questionair after each tutorial?

Sega Genesis Unboxing on Christmas!
This Christmas i made me a gift to myself. As i am some hobby collector of retro gaming consoles i got me not one but two Sega Genesis consoles. I never had a Sega system before as i was mostly oriented to Nintendo and Atari. So this is the unboxing video and some troubleshooting. There is a loud "hum" and a blackscreen problem with one of the consoles.
Even there are some problems it felt like send back to the early 90's so i hope you enjoy it too
This year was a good one, i made my first 1000 subs what i am very thankful of! 2019 starts off with a project i was working on for several weeks now toghetter with Paul we shot a short movie based on the Back To The Future trilogy and the JVC 3060 Boombox, so i hope you will like this video.

I recently saw an amazing piece of art in a Gallery using multiple layers of wood to recreate the topography and bathymetry of South Florida and the Keys. As i am back in the Mancave, i tried to create something similar using my K40 Laser cutter.
However this project ended up in multiple days of work as for filming i needed to redo certain steps. I used Corel Draw 12 that came with the K40 to do the cutting and engraving, unfortunately it came out that this version is quite buggy! I hope you enjoy this video and give it a try! Please let me know how your project came out!

Disclaimer:
Please note that the K40 is a class 4 laser product. Operating the Laser with the lid open as seen in the video is extremely dangerous! I am wearing special safety goggles while filming and monitor the machine remotely when recording timelapses. Do not attempt this with your machine!

K40 Laser Engraver and Cutter
Corel Draw 12 or higher

5 sheets of plywood
Sandpaper and steel wool
Acrylic paints, i used differend shades of blue, green and yellow for the ocean and white, yellow, black for the island.

The mysterious Starlite substance is known to be a Superinsulator. High heat such as from a propane torch can´t do much against this powerful stuff. But does it also insulates against the cold? In some experiments i try what happens when i expose homemade Starlite to dry ice and a cooled acetone bath. In addition i tried if the K40 Laser Cutter can cut thru Dry Ice. The principle of Starlite is simple but genius, when exposed to high temperatures the outer layer starts to carbonize what creates a flame barrier and insulation to the underlaying layers. Without this protection layer homemade Starlite might be nothing else than a hardened form of dough. Lets see what happens!
