Juslo celebrates 136th International Workers' Day in Tista Tista, May 1: Juslo, an organization of unorganized workers supported by the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha, observed the 136th International Workers' Day in Tista Bazaar. Top leaders of Gorkha Janamukti Morcha along with representatives of Juslo Central Committee were present on the occasion. Party Chairman Bimal Gurung was present as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Bimal Gurung said that Juslo has done a lot for the rights and welfare of the workers and more needs to be done. He said companies were to employ 80 per cent locals in railway and other projects in the highway area from Sevok to Rumph. In particular, he requested that special facilities be provided for the workers of the railway company working under the name of Ircon Company. Workers should be required to work only 8 hours a day, more than that should be given a good salary, workers should have safety and security, every worker should be insured, PF should be provided, workers working on national holidays should also be given leave. He also expressed concern over the future of Tista. Party General Secretary Roshan Giri, Central Member and Chief Coordinator of Kalebung Town Committee Sonam Yakha, Nari Morcha Central Coordinator Urmila Rumba, Juslo Chairman Shankar Gurung, General Secretary Sudan Rai and others also addressed the program.
