Batanes is the northernmost province of the Philippines. The islands are remote, shaped by volcanic forces and strong typhoons. The natural landscape of Batanes is distinct from other parts of the Philippines. Here you’ll find vibrant green rolling hills, grazing cows, steep seaside cliffs, sparkling clear blue waters, traditional stone houses, and iconic lighthouses.
Travelers often describe its Batanes’ beauty as wild, overwhelming, and incredibly scenic. Looking at pictures and vlogs, I can see why it’s a popular choice among adventure seekers.

The Chausie’s large, tall ears are set at a slight outward angle. This hybrid cat breed was developed in the 1990s from crosses between Abyssinians and jungle cats. Although today’s Chausie is more “wild at heart” than wild, the breed is far from a lap cat. Most prefer lots of attention and interactive play to lounging around the house.

Copperheads vary in color from reddish to golden tan. The colored bands on their body are typically hourglass-shaped. They have a deep facial pit between each eye and their nostril. Most adults are about 18–36 inches long. They are not usually aggressive, but will often freeze when frightened and will strike in defense if threatened, contacted or interacted with. Workers are more likely to be bitten when they unknowingly step on or near a copperhead. Copperheads are often found in forests, rocky areas, swamps, or near sources of water like rivers. Early administration of antivenom results in faster limb recovery and reduced limb disability after copperhead snake envenomation.
Roses
Like the flower itself, the history of the rose is very colorful. Roses have been naturally growing for over 35 million years! However, they were not known to be cultivated until about 5,000 years ago. Their usage began not just as a decorative touch to one’s home, but they were also used for medicinal purposes, to make perfumes, and their petals were even used as confetti for festive occasions. Getting your roses into water quickly is the first step in caring for them. Fill a vase ¾ full of fresh, cool tap water. The roses will absorb the water, soaking up the nutrients that will travel up to the bloom and create a lively flower. Check the water level in your rose’s vase every day and add more water as needed. Shop these classic flowers for Valentine’s Day!

These funny and outgoing little pups are the national dog of Cuba (hence the name) and make loyal family companions. While they're quite intelligent and naturally affectionate, Havanese are also more energetic than most toy breeds and require daily exercise.
