May 5, 2012: Traveling with The Yinka Dene Alliance Freedom Train, Ta'Kaiya Blaney performs her song, "Carried Away," a passionate lament of environmental destruction and a call to action to help the Earth heal. The YDA Freedom Train stopped in Winnipeg en route to Toronto, carrying the message that they will not allow the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline, being rammed down our throats by the federal Conservative government, to be built on Aboriginal land.

Winnipeg, April 21, 2013: Despite the inclement weather, this year's Seventh Generation Walk for Mother Earth was a lively celebration that began at Central Park and ended at Thunderbird House, with stops along the way at the Manitoba Hydro headquarters and the Oodena Circle at The Forks.This year's walk was in support of the Voices of Indigenous Women and in solidarity with the growing Idle No More Movement.

One of the younger members of Yinka Dene Alliance Freedom Train is Ta'Kaiya Blaney, 11, of Sliammon First Nation. In Winnipeg, at the Circle of Life Thunderbird House, on May 4, 2012, she spoke of the struggle to stop the Enbridge Gateway Pipeline and performed "Shallow Waters," a song she co-wrote with her singing instructor, Aileen De La Cruz. It could become the anthem for all who love and seek to protect the Earth.
