Making my own Amiga PS2 mouse adaptor after spending way too much money on everything else

I did record lots of parts of the restore, but it was nothing interesting. I cleaned the case and PCB. Gave it 3 days of retrobrite treatment and it looks a lot better. replaced the caps and I did struggle with the Gotek, but this was just the guide that came with it. Also fitted as DF0 switcher so the gotek can go into the external drive. You can see a few clips at the very end !
After spending so much on the parts before I could even test the Amiga I did not want to spend another £30 on a mouse when I had a ps2 mouse and all the parts needed to make my own ps2 mouse adaptor and thought this would be more interesting.
This is the finished install of my LED replacement mini marquee system. It does not show the complete install as I have 2 videos showing this, but it does show how the panels look in the Big Red Cabinet. I have started to send out emails to people who have asked about these so look out for emails asking if you want to place orders.

If you want to help me with any of my projects I setup https://www.paypal.com/paypalme2/leelegionsmith, Any help would be appriciated especially towards the Midi CDJ conversion.
After a lot of messing about I now have a pair of these cdj 800 players converted into midi devices using a Teensy 3.2 dev board.
This shows them setup as decks C and D and working along side the S4 on decks ch 1 and 4.
Things to do.
The pitch moves in big steps so unless you have the pitch range at 4% it's hard to get a good pitch match.
The jog wheel is still moving a little too fast, but I am sure I can resolve that.
I am working on a jog wheel logo that lights up when the jog is pressed.
Get track details sent over and if possible full colour tft wave form display, but first use a simple lcd display and have a config screen for midi channel and key delays ect.
I have just about resolved all of my issues and have 14bit pitch control and the jog wheel is working a lot better thanks to changing the mode traktor uses. The lcd screen is working and I have a basic setup program you can acces to adjust params.
Have a look at this quick and dirty guide. http://imgur.com/a/o7jd8

I have waited to make this video until I had a good amount of time to work on it. This was in my pile of decks with a damaged silver tube so still needs a lot of work, but I knew it would be an interesting repair as I never saw this reverses spinning before, it's normally the fast forward spin known to be runaway.

Part 2 of the Harlequin kit build and it's just the IC Sockets so I didnt feel the need to time stamps anything. Just pay attention to the socket orientation.
I just saw I did not edit the end section, I doubt anyone will get that far lol

After my experience cutting the recess for the speaker grill I wanted to make some templates so I went to the local hack space to use the laser cutter. I had to redo the one for the mini marquee, but the handle and groove turned out just fine.

This is a video showing how I assemble the PCB for my Neo Geo Led Mini Marquee kits. Each PCB has 20 LED modules joined with a V-Groove. PCBWAY was very helpful and made sure the new order matched my stencil from the previous order. After these tests I will separate the 20 smaller PCB and check again before they are glued into the panels and then tested for the last time. It's a long boring job, but is just my time and was way way cheaper than the price PCBWAY quoted to assembly for me.

I make a template from 9mm mdf so we can use a router with a trace bit to easily make copies of the sides of the cabinet.

I made at least 3 versions of this and then kept adding a new bit the next day or having bad audio and or video. At last today I was happy with everything and decided to edit and upload. I didn't show all of the revisions of the 3d printed parts, but you can imagine the steps as I went along.
Things to do.
increase the heat up times as it's a little slow and also it was having trouble keeping it at 240 (this could be too high for the solder paste anyway)
Look at some form of active cooling controlled by the teensy or find a convection oven and start again.
Test the temps of the PSU module with the cover on as is only rated for 70 degree C.
On the next vid I ill have refined the curve and used it to make some actual PCB I need.

I have taken a few of the common problems from the first version of the control board and made some improvements. If you have the the existing ELA board and data lead you can just swap this over without the need to take 12v from the PSU. I also added new test options and if anyone wants to upgrade the old control board please get in touch.
I still have a few of the LED boards left so if anyone is looking to replace broken or missing EL panels on any Neo Geo cab please visit
