The benefits of this exercise: • Shoulder stability • Shoulder flexibility • Hip strength • Hip flexibility
Some of the hip muscles worked: • Quadratus femoris • Obturator internus • Obturator externus • Superior gemellus • Gluteus maximus • Gluteus minimus • Gluteus medius • Piriformis • Sartorius • Tensor fasciae latae
It’s super important to be able to create internal and external hip rotation to keep the knee safe. This exercise is super beneficial but can cause injury/damage on the knee through torque if attempted without already some flexibility in the hips. If the hips don’t turn then the position is supported by the lower limbs (ankle area) and not the upper limb (outside of the thigh). This will create torque on the knee. You can progress to this position by working on the hip rotation without holding a weight first.
The kettlebell side bend is a great exercise to work the core when done right. This exercise gets a bad name due to misunderstanding, incorrect technique, and above all, incorrect programming.

World Kettlebell Video #3 Instructions
https://www.facebook.com/notes/kettlebell-training/world-kettlebell-video-3-instructions/1749704025066313/
Hi, thanks for being part of this world kettlebell video number 3.
First things first, don't stress. Do what you can, I'd love it if you became part of this no matter what. I've designed a kettlebell workout that can be adjusted to all levels.
Second, all you need to do join in is to leave a comment below “I’m in”.
You only need to pick one of the below sequences, but if you're keen, you can do all, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I've included videos so you can see the technique, and of course, questions are welcome. The weight used is not important.
If any of the exercises are too difficult, leave them out, if you need a break, take a break, no need to rush it. If you want to do just one repetition of an exercise, that's fine too. Just participate and have some fun. Form and technique first, weight and repetitions second.
HOW TO FILM (IMPORTANT)
→You can film with any recording device you have access to.
→Make sure your whole body is in view at all times and there is sufficient space above and below. In other words, you’re in the middle of the video.
→One person in the video, positioned in the middle.
→Please film horizontally, not vertically. If you can't get your whole body in view, move the camera further away from you. Vertically filmed footage can’t be used.
→Put the camera on top of something about 40 to 60cm of height from the floor with the camera filming straight ahead (not positioned at an angle).
→The higher the quality of the footage, the better, if you can record 60 frames or more, even better. But don't worry about any of this if it's too complex, it's all good in the end.
→Film yourself performing the sequence once from the front, and one side on, side on with the right arm facing the camera. All in all, it should only be less than 3 minutes of footage. You can and should practice before filming.
You can upload the unedited footage to any of the following: → https://drive.google.com/ → https://www.dropbox.com/ → https://wetransfer.com/
Or any other online file storage solution. If all else fails, you can also upload to YouTube or Facebook directly in HD (NOT via messenger), but the above are preferred, as they allow high quality whereas the others don’t. FB Messenger reduces the quality of the video, usually to the point where I can't use it.
Perform exactly as demonstrated please, meaning, even though you might be more advanced, just perform as demonstrated. This is for beginners around the world to learn from you. Time to demonstrate your technique and skills with the basics.

Lost cause? Hello fellow Crossfitters, I'm in a pickle. I've been trying to get more* Kettlebell Workouts in CrossFit, but I'm starting to get the feeling like it's somewhat of a lost cause and everyone that does CrossFit loves the barbell unconditionally, anything else is heresy.
I've been posting these kettlebell WODs for a while and I'm just not getting the interaction I'm looking for. Anyways, I guess this is my way of asking “Am I wasting my time putting these workouts together and posting them in CrossFit groups?”. Your feedback below or on this post.
