Story behind the dish/ Recipe ki khas baat

Yeh recipe actually dhokla aur idli ka hi combination hai . Hum logo ko nashte me kuchh spicy aur crunchy khana pasand tha steamed dish kuchh logo ko pasand aati thi , kuchh logo ko nhi. Is recipe me woh variation ke sath vegetables use karti thi. Jo bhi seasonal vegetables hoti thi unhe use kar leti thi. Woh ise without onion banati thi maine with onion banaya hai. Ise banane ka ek purpose aur hota tha diabetes wale bhi ise kha lete the. Aur hamari family me dadiji , dadaji ko diabetes thi. Jab ki maximum common snacks me poha, potato use hota hai. Isme nhi hai...
Humari yeh favourite hua karti thi.

Ingredients...

1 cup Fine Rava/ semolina (सूजी)
1 cup Sour Curd (दही)
Water (पानी) as required
1 teaspoon Eno Fruit Salt (इनो) / 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (बेकिंग सोडा)
Salt ( नमक ) to taste
2 tablespoon grated carrot (गाजर)
1 tablespoon grated onion (प्याज़)
1 tablespoon sweet corn ( optional) (स्वीट कार्न)

For greesing...
1 teaspoon oil ( तेल )

For Tempering...
1 tablespoon Oil ( तेल )
1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds ( राई )
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Seeds ( सफ़ेद तिल )
1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder ( लाल मिर्च )
2 - 3 Green Chilli finely chopped ( हरी मिर्च )
4 to 5 Curry Leaves ( मीठी नीम)
A pinch of asafoetida ( हींग )

For garnishing...
1 tablespoon grated coconut ( optional)( नारियल)
1 tablespoon finely chopped Fresh
coriander Leaves ( धनिया पत्ती )
1 teaspoon sweet corn ( स्वीट कॉर्न )
