Black Lives Matter protest in Portland, OR on 1-28-2017: "March and Rally for Justice and Equality"
This is the video I took of the "March and Rally for Justice and Equality" I witnessed/took part in on January 28th, 2017, which began at the Martin Luther King Statue and marched up Martin Luther King Blvd to the Maranatha Church.
I was going to edit this and some other footage I took of the speakers, as well as some casual interviews with others who watched the march happen, into a sort of mini-documentary. But I've given up on having time and energy for that, so I'm just uploading the footage as-is. Here is the video of the actual march, I also have recordings of about half of the speakers that followed at the Maranatha Church that I was able to film until both my camera batteries wore out. I'm leaving comments on approval only in case others from the march see this video, as I don't want them to have to deal with the usual hateful garbage I do on all my other videos. Only peaceful comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism will be approved.
If you would like this video file to upload as well, please email toplesstopicstv on gmail. and I will try to send it to you. It's a 1gb file but I can make a smaller cut if necessary, we'll figure it out. The more people that upload this and other footage of this and other protests, the more the word gets out! I can't say what if any effect these protests will have on stemming the tide of corruption and bigotry of our current administration, but I know plenty of us are mad enough to not sit idly by! Are you finding other ways to be politically active? Let others know, find support if you need it, there's more of us here than you know! Don't worry about haters at least in this video's comments, I'll root out the garbage and insults for ya. ;)
