Marissa Martinelli: Sam, can you possibly remember back to the summer of 2016? It seemed like just about everyone was outside, running around with their nose in their phone, catching virtual monsters. The hype around Pokémon Go has long since died down, and we’re living in a time when leaving your house unnecessarily is silly or even dangerous—so why am I playing more Pokémon Go than ever? And are you doing the same?
Sam Adams: I probably can’t go that far, if only because I’ve progressed to the point in the game where there’s not all that much left for me to do, even in a time when taking long walks didn’t feel like taking your life ever so slightly in your own hands. (Also, like a number of friends, I bought a Nintendo Switch the day it became apparent that my 10-year-old was going to be stuck at home for the foreseeable future, so Ash and co. are competing with Mario and Tom Nook now.) But considering that Pokémon Go’s core task—move around in the real world looking for stuff—is a pipe dream for many people right now, it’s a surprise that it remains playable at all, and that, based on both hard data and the activity of my Pokéfriends, a lot of people are returning to the game who’d drifted away. Mortal Kombat 12 Run Button Highly Requested
has seemingly been leaked by a leaker by the name of "r00r" made a name for themselves for leaking and teasing various things about MK11 -- such as its roster -- that would later turn out to be true. It's been a while since we've heard from the leaker, but recently they took to GameFAQs to tease fans of the series. More specifically, they left a brief comment stating that "Reiko is back," followed by, "see you next year."
Unfortunately, this is the extent of the tease. Obviously, there's nothing vague about the former claim, but it's not clear if the leaker is teasing that the game won't be revealed until next year or that it will release next year. It seems to be the former, but it could be the latter or even both.
Last year, rumors surfaced claiming that contrary to popular belief, NettherRealm Studios was not working on Injustice 3, but Mortal Kombat 12. Fast-forward and a new photo seems to confirm this. The image comes the way of Jonathan Andersen, a Senior Production Manager at the Chicago-based studio. Taking to Twitter, Andersen tweeted a photo of what appears to be his workspace cluttered with Injustice and Mortal Kombat artwork. That said, if you look in the top right corner, there's a file on the computer titled "MK12_Mast..." There are also other Mortal Kombat files like "Reptile."
The tweet has since been deleted, but not before the Internet got its receipt. And parts of the Internet actually think it's a deliberate leak, which aren't common, but they do happen. The main reason some Mortal Kombat fans think this is the email that's in the background, which contains the following: "our fans eagerly scrape the internet for any trace." It also says to "take extra care with this material." It's all a little bit on the nose.
As noted, the tweet with the image has since been deleted and there's been no follow-up from Andersen, NetherRealm Studios, WB Games, or any other implicated party. No matter whether or not this is a deliberate leak, this is unlikely to change. That said, if it's a deliberate leak, then an official announcement could be imminent.
As always, we will keep you updated as the situation evolves. In the meantime, take everything here -- the leak, and the speculation it has created -- with a grain of salt. While there's little room to doubt the validity of the leak, it's still a leak and not 100 percent official information straight from WB Games PR. Speaking of WB Games PR, we have reached out for a comment. While we wait for information, it's important to remember that NRS -- in particular, its creative director, Ed Boon -- has a reputation for trolling fans. This could be another elaborate example of this, but it seems unlikely.

A New source claims to have information on injustice 3 : Gods Will fall including the release date and completion of the game
Injustice 3 Speculation Grows Following DC FanDome Announcement
Fans of the Injustice fighting game franchise are really starting to believe that developer NetherRealm Games could be announcing the third installment in the series, Injustice 3, later this month. The reason for this speculation comes in the wake of a new announcement directly from DC that informed potential viewers about what the company will have to share at its upcoming DC FanDome event. And while Injustice 3 hasn't been outright confirmed to appear at the presentation, someone who is directly linked to the franchise will be showing up in some capacity.
Revealed on social media this morning, DC Comics divulged that Ed Boon, who is the creative director at NetherRealm Studios, will be taking part in the upcoming DC FanDome event. Boon's role in the showcase wasn't specified whatsoever, but the fact that he's appearing in the first place has many fans assuming that he might show up to reveal Injustice 3. Such an announcement would also make a fair bit of sense at this point given that NetherRealm revealed earlier this year that it was officially done working on Mortal Kombat 11 and would instead be shifting its focus to the studio's next venture.
In recent years, NetherRealm Studios has gone back and forth between working on the Injustice and Mortal Kombat franchises. Starting with the original Injustice: Gods Among Us, which released back in 2013, NetherRealm would go on to then launch Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, and then most recently, Mortal Kombat 11. Assuming that the studio continues with this pattern once again, it would stand to reason that Injustice 3 would be the company's next title, although some reports and rumors have suggested that this won't be the case.
Whatever the truth is, we fortunately won't have to wait much longer to learn about what Boon's role is with DC FanDome. The event as a whole is set to take place later this month on October 16. And if you can't watch the live stream for yourself, we'll be sure to bring you all of the latest news from the event here on ComicBook.com as it transpires.
Do you think we could finally be getting a reveal for Injustice 3 later this month? Let me know your thoughts either down in the comments

As a part of Niantic's ongoing updates to its AR mobile title Pokemon GO, it has announced that May's Spotlight hours will include the Pokemon Shellder, Sunkern, Poochyena, and Bronzor. However the game will also be losing some content this month as the developers let the world know there will be no Team GO Rocket Special Research events available until "the end of September."

Microsoft recently kicked off an Xbox One digital games sale, and now it's discounting a number of its Xbox One X console bundles and controllers. If you're looking to pass the time while you're stuck at home, then the Xbox One X is an excellent console to help you do exactly that. It's the most powerful console on the market right now, capable of greater performance and resolutions than the standard Xbox One. Each bundle comes with an awesome game, and if you need an extra controller, then there are plenty of deals on those as well.
The Xbox One X bundles are all currently $300 and include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Forza Horizon 4 (with the Lego Speed Champions DLC), NBA 2K20, and Gears 5. There are two options for NBA 2K20: the standard black console and a gorgeous paint-splattered Hyperspace-edition Xbox One X. The Gears 5 bundles also let you choose between the standard console and a special edition with a unique design--both bundles also come with the entire mainline Gears of War series.
MW NEWS
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale spin-off, Warzone, has been immensely popular, but if you've wanted to try the core game's regular multiplayer modes, then you have your chance right now. Modern Warfare's multiplayer will be free until April 6 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. That's only three days, but even if you don't end up buying the full game, it's a good opportunity to level up your weapons and create some loadouts for Warzone--all of your Warzone purchases and levels also carry over to multiplayer.
Anyone who has already downloaded Warzone can simply select the "Multiplayer" option from the main menu to access the free multiplayer weekend. If you don't currently have Warzone, then be sure to download it soon, so you can play as much as possible. Unfortunately, if you want to keep playing Modern Warfare's multiplayer past the free weekend, it looks like you'll need to pay full price--no discounts have been revealed as of yet.
