It's almost the Fourth of July here in the states and that means fireworks photos!
Here is a video that shares some of my tips to help you make better fireworks photos.
For the tripod and ballhead, I recommend this Sirui tripod and ballhead:

For the wireless trigger, I bought this one and found it works well:

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July and hope this helps you make some great fireworks images!

October 1, 2020.
Just wanted to post this little video that is talking about the direction I am planning to take the channel.
It's going to revolve around Stills & Films Training. Since I am primarily a still photographer (doing weddings, portraits, seniors, commercial) and starting to do more videos for businesses and weddings, I am really excited to talk about these areas.
I know a lot of people will say just do one thing, but I am someone who loves to do many things and being located in a small town, it is required.
I would love to hear your thoughts about topics to cover. I've got a rough idea of some 30 to 60 videos that I want to produce.
One thing that I will be keying in on are Sony cameras and lenses since I am a Sony sponsored Artisan.
I love their products, and have been using them exclusively since 2014.
Thanks for being here and be sure and let me know if you have any questions?
Paul

Sony recently announced the a1 their new flagship camera.
This camera combines the best of their top three cameras: the high resolution a7RIV (the a1 though is 50 megapixels, though, not 61 like the a7RIV thought it is very close), the sports camera a9II (the a1 has a top stills frame rate of 30 fps whereas the a9II is "only" 20 fps), and the video features of the a7SIII (though the a1 has an 8K video mode and has an aps-c/Super 35 mode that the a7SIII does not).
This cameras also includes the addition of Bird Eye AF in stills mode so it should have appeal to the wildlife and birding photographers out there.
In addition to a new sensor and a much faster processor, the camera also boasts a new mechanical shutter that has a synch speed of 1/400th for full frame sensor images and a 1/500th synch speed if you are in aps-c mode!
Gerald Undone has done a great review of the camera's features for video and you can view that here at: https://youtu.be/eO1B9p_p7cE
The price tag of the camera is just under $6500 though if you were to combine all the three cameras it could theoretically replace them (and those three cameras would cost just about $11,000!).
While this is a camera geared to pros and advanced amateurs, what do you think? Is there an a1 in your future? Why or why not?
