• It has been my privilege to teach this great bunch of young men and woman these past two years. We’ve had a lot of great and memorable times together and I’ve really cherished the fun moments we’ve shared. I’d like to especially thank these guys (and girl!) for the wonderful support they’ve been for the Make Science Fun YouTube channel – their critique, feedback, ideas, editing, participation and encouragement have been invaluable. • Although Physics was fun and somewhat important, I hope that you’ve taken away some far more important truths from Green Point Christian College which will endure for eternity. Ps I’m really sorry I didn’t take you guys to Luna Park…maybe one day I’ll be able to make it up to you….

A compilation of 10 Amazing Science Demonstrations.
1. Dinosaur Toothpaste.
Hydrogen Peroxide is added to a concentrated solution of Potassium Iodide.
The Potassium Iodide acts as a catalyst and breaks the Hydrogen Peroxide down into water and oxygen gas. The oxygen gas produces bubbles with a small amount of dishwashing soap. The orange is from a bit of food colouring.

2. Steaming Tower
Hydrogen Peroxide is added to some Liquid soap with Manganese Dioxide which acts as the catalyst.
3. Boo Bubbles.
Dry Ice in water with a little bit of liquid soap.

4. Acid and Egg Shell.
Hydrochloric Acid and Calcium Carbonate (Shell) produce Carbon Dioxide, Water and Calcium Chloride
Can be found in episode ‘Exploding Dinosaur Eggs’

5. Wiggly water wave.
There are no visual effects.
The frequency of the wiggle is matched by the frequency of a strobe light to produce a ‘stationary’ wave.
See amazing wiggly water wave episode.

6. Oobleck dance
‘Magic Mud’ – cornflour and water mixed together to make a non-newtonian fluid are placed on a speaker playing a frequency of about 40 Hertc
See Lego OObleck dance Episode
7. Boo Bubbles
Dry Ice in water with universal indicator

8. Gas Bubble Explosions
Propane and Oxygen produce Water and Carbon Dioxide
9. Exploding Eggs.
Hydrogen Gas and Oxygen Produce Water and Energy.
