In this episode of Let’s Talk Bharat, Anupam Kher is joined by Ashish Chauhan, the head of the National Stock Exchange and chancellor of the University of Allahabad. The technocrat is optimistic about Bharat’s growth story over the next 40 years because of its large young population as compared to a graying Europe and the US. He feels confident that for the first time in his lifetime, the nation controls the circumstances and not the other way around. He cites inclusive growth as a case in point as a bulk of the country’s rural population is enjoying the benefits of technological advancements such as the mobile telephony revolution that has transformed their daily lives.

A West African bloc of nations has threatened to conduct a military intervention in Niger if the country's deposed president is not reinstated within one week. The Economic Community of West African States, known as ECOWAS, has suspended financial aid to Niger and frozen its assets in international banks, after national military leaders seized control of the country last week.
Several European powers have also condemned the coup, with former regional colonizer France even threatening to retaliate if any of its citizens are harmed.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has visited drone production facilities in central Russia, inspecting new unmanned aircraft and materials aimed at enhancing resilience against attacks. Shoigu visited several different companies, each innovating in different areas of drone production. In Kalashnikov, one company had responded to demand by increasing output by 60%. At another, the Zala Aero drone company, he was shown new, cutting-edge composite materials that would make drones more resilient, and new designs based on experience gained in Ukraine.
The visit occurred as Ukrainian rocket attacks have been increasing, especially in civilian areas. All critical infrastructure and economic facilities – oil, gas, processing facilities – must be protected with this weapon,’ Shoigu said. He also emphasized to industry leaders the need to develop further, particularly in the fields of electronic warfare and artificial intelligence.

Fox News Panel Claims People Dying From COVID Is Due To Not Being Vaccinated
Streaming - Wed 12 PM EST
The assertion came as co-host Steve Doocy urged those who have resisted getting the vaccine to get the shot — and as the highly contagious delta variant surges across states with low vaccination rates, filling hospital beds and alarming public health officials.
“Listen, if you didn’t get a vaccination, that’s your choice,” Kilmeade said, adding that he and his co-hosts had all gotten the shot and were no longer wearing masks.
“If you want to go cliff-diving this weekend, you don’t have to check with me,” Kilmeade said. “It seems a little dangerous, but I’m not going to judge you. And if you go ahead and put yourself in danger, and you feel as though this is not something for you, don’t do it. But don’t affect my life.”
“99 percent of the people who are dying from Covid are unvaccinated,” Doocy interrupted.
“That’s their choice,” Kilmeade said.
