In this video, I give a brief introduction to AREDN, the amateur Radio Emergency Data Network, and we setup a cheap router, the MikroTik hAP ac lite RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US to get onto it. AREDN has always been a bit scary to me until I got this little router, and found out things aren't so complicated. If you are looking to getting into aredn this router is probably a perfect fir to get started.

To follow up the video earlier this week, I decided to do SSTV on a budget. This guide is also usable with those with a technician ham radio licence.
You can get the Baofeng radio used here:

Download DroidSSTV:

For IPhone

Slow scan television is an analog mode that allows amateur radio operators to send pictures back and forth over RF. The following guide assumes you have no interface cables, and relies purely on the audio of the transmission.

Finally got around to making this video, and it was really fun to do.
The ISS has an onboard APRS Digipeater that anyone with a licence can use to send packets from.
Today, the International space station had a great pass, so I got the FT3D with the Arrow 2 antenna, and filmed a small how to guide on digipeating packets off the ISS.
Freq used:145.825

Just ranting and talking about the Cuban jamming. Posted a clip of it on TikTok, and all hell broke loose. If you are sensitive to politics, don't watch the video.
