Wakenya, Tumsifu Yesu Chistu, my name is Father Peter from Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lavington, Nairobi, Kenya, priest of the Society of Saint Pius the Tenth founded by Bishop Lefebvre.

I wanted to make this video to give some explanations about who we are and our position in the Church.

We, in the Society of Saint Pius the X, believe that there is no other option for salvation than to belong to the Roman Catholic Church founded by Christ and currently headed by his vicar Pope Francis. We also believe that every Catholic conscience is bound by Tradition and Holy Scripture, that constitutes the Deposit of Faith and remains unchangeable.

It has become more evident in our days that something has changed in the life of the Catholic Church the last 60 years. Communion in the hand was previously forbidden and has become the norme ; frequent confession was urged and now is almost inexistent. The priests were obliged to wear the cassock to make God visibly present in the world and to express their shared personhood with Christ and now the priests, representative of Christ, have disappeared from the world.

Why that witch was forbidden yesterday is encouraged today? that witch sanctified many saints in the past is not allowed to sanctify us today? Why the mass that converted so many souls in the world and specialy here in Kenya, is not allowed and has disappeared today? Can a bishop or even a Pope deny these treasures to a catholic soul? How have all catholic been deprived of their inheritance witch came from Christ himself and transmitted to us through Tradition?

All these changes have not happened by accident. They are a consequence of a change in the doctrine of the Church. A certain weed has invaded the Field of the Lord…

It is necessary to point out that the Society of Saint Pius X has no way broken away from the Catholic Church. We are united to the Catholic Church and we never separated from Her, despite divergences with the authorities of the Church and we are not responsible for these divergences.

The Vatican I Council while defining the infaillibility said: “ For The Holy Spirit was not promised to the successors of Peter that by his revelation they might teach new doctrines, rather the Holy Ghost has been given to the successors of Peter that by his assistance they might, without breaking, keep and faithfully explain and safely safeguard the Revelation, the Deposit of Faith, delivered through the Apostles.”
