Today I bottle up a gallon batch of hard cider made from ingredients gotten from Walmart. The ultimate beginner cider gets in the bottle. This will be a sparkling cider. Meaning we add a little sugar to start the fermentation back up so the carbon dioxide dissolves into the cider. After bottled for two weeks, get them into the refrigerator, so you don't get bottle bombs.

Today I’ll be bottling up some raspberry mead. My plan was to use my new Wine corker. Alas I ordered the wrong size of corks, and they were to big for my bottles. Back up plan was to bottle into 750ml swing top bottles. The mead tasted really good. Give it a month and it will rock. Enjoy!!!!

It's brew day!!!! Today I'll be making a pyment. Also known as a grape mead. This is a quick and easy mead today made with store bought grape juice and honey. You'll need the following:
1 1/2 lbs honey
1/2 gallon grape juice white or dark. with no preservatives buy citric acid.
1 pk wine yeast. I used Red Star Cuvee.
Even with some technical difficulties (cold glass and hot water does not combine) My carboy cracked, but luckily I didn't make a mess. And stayed together long enough to transfer to a bucket. Because of putting it in a bucket I will be transferring it to another carboy in a week

Inspired by a visit to some local wineries. Today I’ll show you how to make an Apfelewine Wine. This Germane apple wine is light and refreshing. Great for summer sipping. Unlike a cider this wine will have a bit more ABV alcohol by volume. I plan to let this age for about a year in order for it to reach its true potential.
