Honestly, I didn't have a plan for song today at all. I sat on the side and I didn't know what I was going to do so I thought I would sing this song. The melody is made up on the spot, as you might tell. Gives the song a different vibe.

Camtasia for Windows has "speech-to-text" for closed captioning purposes, but that feature is missing on the Mac. This is the workaround I use, utilizing an app called "Dictate." The pro version is $17.99 a year as of the recording of this video.

The Theme to "Family Guy" is something quite amazing when you think of it. Networks tried to stop this intro, but Seth said "we're doing it".
The Theme to "Family Guy" is something that is not seen, or rather heard, anymore in cartoons, an intro theme song. The networks wanted to do away with it, but Seth was quite animate about having it included in his show. The feel of the theme references the theme to the 70s show "All In the Family" where characters Archie and Edith Bunker sing of the good ol' days where "girls were girls and men were men" (wow, they would get in trouble today).

Lyrics:
Lois: It seems today
That all you see
Is violence in movies and sex on TV
Peter: But where are those good old fashioned values
Stewie, Brian, Chris and Meg: On which we used to rely?
Entire Family: Lucky there's a Family Guy
Lucky there's a man who
Positively can do
All the things that make us
Stewie: Laugh and cry!
Entire Family: He's... a... Fam... ily... Guy!

American Pie, a song suggested by my youngest kiddo, was something that just never occurred to me. Thanks Riley, you made day 325 with this Don McLean classic.
American Pie is a song that, admittedly, I remember the Weird Al Yankovic version more than the original. This song was just suggested, off the cuff I might add, by my youngest kiddo Riley while I was working on day 324. "You know what you should do? You should do the American Pie song." he said. It took me a second to remember the tune and the chorus came first to my mind. I did a quick YouTube look up and that was where I recognized the song. Good choice, my youngest kiddo.

Lyrics:
A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So
Bye, bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Do you believe in rock and roll?
Can music save your mortal soul?
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singin'
Bye, bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Now, for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rolling stone
But, that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lennon read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singin'
Bye, bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye
And singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and f

Lakini's Juice is a dark song performed by the band LIVE. I was always attracted to this song without realizing it's meaning.
Lakini's Juice is, in a nutshell, about obsession, from the standpoint of the darker side of love. Lakini's Juice is basically talking about the sin nature of humanity and how we do things that we don't want to do because of the urges that are within us all. How many of us have succumbed to compulsion, an animalistic need to do,..something and have regretted it later.
On a side note, Lakini is the Hindu goddess of destruction.

Lyrics:
it was an evening i shared with the sun
to find out where we belong
from the earliest days
we were dancing in the shadows
more wine
cuz i got to have it
more skin
cuz i got to eat it
inside the outside, by the river, used to be so calm
used to be so sane
I rushed the lady's room
took the water from the toilet
washed her feet and blessed her name
more peace
is such a dirty habit
slow down, we're too afraid
let me ride
let me ride
burn my eyes
let me ride
