The MSX has a surprisingly deep and varied catalogue of games. And what better way to explore this than to select 10 of them at random and use 1 credit on each to see what is on offer!
As usual, all footage from real hardware, in this case a Sony HitBit MSX2.
Licensing computer games of TV shows was a big thing in the 80's. You had guaranteed brand recognition even if the show wasn't suited at all for a home micro game. ChinnyVision looks at 5 more TV shows that got home computer conversions. Russ Abbot, Miami Vide, Minder, Run The Gauntlet and Double Dare all feature. All on original hardware including the Amstrad CPC and C64.
Note: There is no Spectrum version of the Russ Abbot game. It was advertised, but not released.

Enduro Racer from Sega hit the arcades in 1986 and was converted to the home systems by Activision the following year. You wouldn't get the ride on bike and handlebars at home but how does it shape up on the hime micros? We look at the game on the Sinclair Spectrum, CPC, C64, Atari ST all on the original hardware.
Note we have not covered the Sega Master System version as it is a totally different style of game and is not an arcade conversion.

HATE or Hostile All Terrain Encounter is a 1989 game coded by Vortex and published by Gremlin. An isometric shoot-em-up in the style of Zaxxon, it was released on the Spectrum, CPC, CPC, ST and Amiga. ChinnyVision plays the game on real hardware. Will we hate it or love it?

It's after midnight, and something potentially copyright infringing is lurking in the dark. We take a look at Chiller by Mastertronic on the Commodore C64, Sinclair Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and MSX.

The MSX was an attempt to "standardise" home computing in the same way the IBM PC had standardised business computing. We look at once such example of MSX hardware, the Sony HitBit 75b as well as some of its games.

Found this in a charity shop and decided to rescue it. A Sharp WQ-T282(E) Boombox from 1986 in Ken Masters Red. Stereo, radio twin tape! But does it work and what work will it require? Well it turned out to be a bigger project than just a tape belt!

The Sinclair ZX Spectrum had something in the region of 10,000 games released for it. Here are just ten of those games that I reckon that you need to try. Not the 10 best genes but 10 interesting and fun games. All played on a real Spectrum +2.

The Sega Dreamcast was the last console from the former giant of gaming. A fantastic console sunk by bad decisions by the company that gave us so much joy in the 80's and 90's.
But if you pick up one of these consoles, which games should you buy that won't break the bank? This isn't a definitive list but a suggest of 5 great games for the Sega console.
