This level is a hill cavern. Use the green springs to scale the cavern then you’ll find the first Yoshi Coin by a pipe sideways. After revealing a vine from a block, the 2nd Yoshi Coin is by a Paratroopa. Climb another vine and go left to fall into a pit with the 3rd Yoshi Coin. Use the spring to go by some Paratroopas. Grab the next spring and bounce off it to get the last 2 Yoshi Coins. Make your way to the top and go through the pipe. After you venture through Area 6 of the Black Tower, you’ll take on Freira, originally an Ace Trainer. Porygon-Z will use Conversion to change type and raise its Special Attack stat with a Petaya Berry when in danger. Breloom holds a Toxic Orb but the Poison Heal ability will restore its HP when poisoned. It will use Spore to easily put opponents to sleep, Mach Punch to strike first, and Focus Punch for a massive attack. Armaldo will gain extra speed with the Choice Scarf it holds but becomes eligible to use only one move. After the battle, you’ll unlock Area 7.

On Route 3, use Surf on the pond and go north to find a Hidden Grotto. Enter this Hidden Grotto and you’ll sometimes encounter a special Bibarel. It ranges between Levels 55-60. It also has the hidden ability, Moody. After every turn, one stat sharply raises while another stat lowers.

At the start, you’ll see a Shy Guy riding an ostrich plus some Beezos. After a Snifit, use bombs to blow up cracked tiles. Underground, use bombs to blow up the cracked boxes and go by 3 Tweeters to go up the ladder. Go down the next ladder then you’ll see a Shy Guy between holes. Go up another ladder then back underground again to blow up a cracked wall with bombs. Go up one more ladder and enter the door to the boss room. Hit Birdo with objects 3 times to get the jewel and open the Mask Gate.

On Saturday and Sunday between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M., Erika will be by a fountain at Celadon City just south of the department store. Talk to her and she will give you her phone number on the PokéGear. Call her on a Sunday morning and she will be at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. Shiftry will use Sunny Day to change the weather for 5 turns and Explosion to deal massive damage but make itself faint in the process. Jumpluff will use Sleep Powder to put the target to sleep and U-turn to switch out after causing damage. Victreebel will use Sludge Bomb for a 30% chance of poisoning the target and Leaf Blade to more easily land a critical hit. Bellossom will use Attract to make the opposite gender less likely to move and Giga Drain to restore its HP by half the damage the target took. Tangrowth will use Swords Dance to sharply raise its Attack stat and Rock Slide for a 30% chance of making the target flinch. Roserade will use Stun Spore to paralyze the target and Weather Ball that changes type depending on the weather. Moves like Flamethrower and Aerial Ace work best for this battle.

After stopping Team Rocket in a mysterious hideout below the shop in Mahogany Town, you’ll now be able to access the gym in Mahogany Town. This gym has icy floors that cause the person to skate until touching a clean floor. You’ll battle some trainers as you skate. Navigate the floors and you’ll battle the gym leader. Pryce uses Ice type Pokémon. Seel and Dewgong will use Headbutt to sometimes make targets flinch. They will even use Rest to fully recover when running out of HP. Piloswine will use Blizzard to cause massive damage and even freeze targets. After winning, you’ll receive the Glacier Badge and a TM16 (Icy Wind). Icy Wind causes damage and lowers the target’s Speed stat.

Flying foes will act like statues until you approach them. Use the ladders to navigate the room and do some super jumps to reach the door. Outside, spin the building to make the next door appear. The rest of the tower has 2 sides in blue and red. Keep using the doors to go from side to side and make your way to the top to find the goal.

There are several items lying around in the Power Plant. You may mistakenly interact with and be attacked by an Electrode by some of the items on the ground. If you do, you’ll be engaged with a battle with one of these. Electrode is on Level 43. The best idea is to paralyze it then draw out some Ultra Balls. Catch it quickly before it uses Selfdestruct.

After beating the Elite Four, you’ll battle Lance, the Dragon master. When Gyarados is running out of HP, it will use Flail to inflict big damage. It will also combo with Rain Dance and Surf. There are 2 Dragonite that will use Thunder Wave to paralyze opponents and then make them flinch by using Twister. One Dragonite knows Thunder while the other knows Blizzard. Aerodactyl will use Ancientpower to raise all of its stats 10% of the time the move strikes. Charizard will use Flamethrower to burn opponents and Slash to make hits turn critical often. The 3rd Dragonite will use Safeguard to prevent all status problems for 5 turns then use Outrage to repeat for 2-3 turns until becoming confused. After winning, you’ll enter the Hall of Fame and unlock your post-game quests.
