Spent a little over an hour with John Cooper today talking about his new book, Wimpy, Weak and Woke (available at johnlcooper.com though the Kindle is already available at Amazon). Talked eschatology and law and culture and the future and hope and what we need to be praying for as far as mercy from God! As always a pleasure to have John on the Dividing Line!

Started off looking at a clip showing sincere, clear, plain black supremacy straight from the teachings of Louis Farrakhan, a very well known racist who believes white people are demons. Eventually we transitioned into providing an exegetical response to Jonathan McLatchie's assertion that there really is no "noetic effect of sin," a claim he lays out in this article. The dialogue on this topic that I reference in the program can be found here, and will be live streamed on Friday. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

I do not know how to title a wide ranging program like today’s! We discussed the Buttigieg adoption scandal, Jory Micah’s racism, the amazing crash of Ivermectin from 2015 Nobel Prize winning drug to 2021 horse-dewormer, and then a lengthy discussion of medical exemptions, including the statement Apologia Church has produced on the topic. I also read through an attack upon Christian conscience on the topic and responded to its many errors. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

We are joined today by our guest host pastor Robb Brunansky of Desert Hills Bible Church in Phoenix Arizona. Do government guidelines require the church to close during a pandemic, and what will you say to Christ at the Final Judgment about how you responded to this crisis? We also cover a video from the EFCA discussing re-opening churches that closed because of COVID-19, and an apologetics opportunity during COVID-19 based on Romans 1. Early in the program Robb mentions a video that he recently released about how christians should respond to differing views regarding these things from within the church. You can view that short video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPYiu0T0Kng. You can check out the Desert Hills website here https://deserthillschurch.com/. We took the entire hour to begin to review Bart Ehrman’s debate with Dallas Theological Seminary professor Justin Bass on whether Jesus believed Himself to be divine. This debate review will be helpful especially for those who have not heard our reviews of Ehrman in the past, especially when it comes to his historical methodology and arguments.

Covered a wide variety of things including a little bit about the miracle of baby August, possible conversations with family members over Christmas regarding the Bible (taking from Sye’s debate with Matt Dillahunty), and a brief discussion of Pope Francis’ comments concerning Mary as co-redemptrix with Christ. We plan on doing programs on Wednesday and Friday as well. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

We did a Skype based DL today looking at some comments William Lane Craig made about the atonement, and comparing and contrasting these with Hebrews 7:22-25. A good deal of discussion of how we derive our theology and why it is important.
Don’t forget that on Thursday at 6pm EDT Vocab Malone will be guest hosting and doing an interview on the subject of Hebrew Israelism. Don’t miss this important program!

Outside of saying we did talk specifically about the Equality Act and how it will fundamentally do away with the first Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, we sort of just pondered what looks like, at the moment, the possible outcome of the messed-up, in some places, very corrupt, election, especially as this impacts believers and the work of the kingdom.

In the second part of today’s program I dove into a response Tyson James wrote (James works for Reasonable Faith) more than three years ago to comments I made from Psalm 33 relating to Molinism way back in May of 2014. So we dove back into the topic, and will finish off our response on Thursday’s program.
