It was a frontal day. I dreamed of epic ground speeds and huge XC distances. I had a go and I did not die. Live commentary and mostly uncut.

I thought it was time to add to my previous review. I have almost 80hrs of XC flying in Summer Alpine and Australian Spring conditions and I can make another report. The Volt is still a lovely wing. More chance of a cravat than my high B but perfectly manageable. If you are a skilled XC pilot who flies about 100hrs a year then this wing will make you smile. It is not for low B pilots but coming from (mostly) a high B I found the transition to be super easy. I flew like a chicken for the first 20 hrs, waiting for the wing to show me up. But actually the wing behaves like a high B in many ways, the big difference is the extra energy (that you must manage) and the the super solid feeling on bar. The wing is fast (heavily loaded) agile (heavily loaded) collapse resistant (heavily loaded) and will occasionally check to make sure that you are paying attention (cravats, surges). I have experimented with some deep stalls and other SIV and the wing behaved very well. Watch the other videos on YouTube that feature this wing doing SIV with experienced pilots and make up your own mind. I have no association with AD and I have no commercial interest in promoting this wing, or this channel.

I'm tired of copyright claims against the tracks I use in my videos. I made an original remix to see whether it still gets tagged.
