SPS Two Year Anniversary! | Updates, Rambling and Ranting!
March 29th, 2016, the day SPS was officially founded two years ago today. I remember this night very well and can still remember the last scambait video I watched that gave me the push to start. I talk about a few things in this video, a few changes I'd like to make some general rambling and my obnoxious opinion on 'scammer reacts' and 'scammer vs' channels.
With all this out of the way though, I want to thank all of you who have been with me since the beginning and are sticking it out and those of you who have just arrived for subscribing to follow me along on the Journey ahead. I don't know what's going to happen in the coming years but if we play our cards right, It could be big.
On April 24th, 2017, I called a company called "JC techies" who have created a fake web-based pop-up to try and lie and say that I have spyware on my computer and that all my details are being stolen. This of course, is indeed false. This pop-up is nothing more than a simple web pop-up to scare you into calling this scam company. Once I called the number that was listed on the pop-up and stated that I had a pop-up, the scammer on the other end of the line said that it seemed my computer was infected with a network infection, very common thing for scammers to say. Like all scammers, he wanted to connect to my computer, once connected he asked me the typical things scammers ask me, what do you do with this computer, how did you get the pop-up, etc. The first tactic he performed was the CMD tree command. This command simply lists the directories and creates a tree of everything in your computer. The scammer claimed he was scanning my computer, however, the tree command doesn't scan anything and you can clearly hear him typing a fake message that displays at the end of the tree result. Once the tree command was finished listing directories, the message he had typed whilst the tree command was listing directories appeared. It stated that the network security was damaged, drivers were damaged, and there was spyware on the computer. Keep in mind, this is a CLEAN virtual machine that was scanned directly before the call. Next, he says he is going to check how many spyware infections are on my machine, I asked him if the pop-up had appeared to warn me about the "infection" and after some explanation that didn't make sense he basically said yes. I found this funny considering that earlier in the call he asked me if I clicked on any advertisements which would have caused the pop-up. Next, he went to Event Viewer, Event Viewer displays all logs that your computer generates normally. He told me all of the normal logs were spyware and needed to be removed. After this, he went into notepad and told me everything that need to be "fixed" and what he was going to "fix". He told me there would be a $149.99 "fixation" fee. I asked him to give me the details of his company which he avoided and told me I would get all the info from the billing manager. I never did get that info from them. (I found it myself.) He then asked for my personal details in a notepad document on the same computer that supposedly had "spyware". He then, still without giving me company info, asked for my card details in an unsecure notepad document. I gave him a fake card. After all this, he tried to charge the card without my permission and finds out it's fake when it doesn't go though. He told me to "fuck off" on the notepad document and disconected and hung up. He must have been pissed I wasted an hour of his time and money, Hahahahahahah!

The company we call in this video was a scammer that claimed to be Gmail support to lure people into their scam. However, This company also claims to be called "Digital Mechanics" but the site the scammer gave me wasn't actually their site. Once the scammer connected, he went to msinfo and lied about the perfectly normal stopped drivers and services. He then opened up msconfig and lied about the stopped services here as well, Claiming that they all need to be running which is a lie. Next, he opened up netsat and lied about the active connection claiming my network was to blame and that there were "cybercrime activities" or in other words "hackers" trying to connect to my computer. He also stated that the active connections had something to do with this when they really didn't and was perfectly normal. After this we lost connection, once joined back, he told me the hackers were to blame for the connection loss when really it was my terrible internet connection. He then went on to show me what he was going to do to the computer and what softwares he was going to install and then try to charge me $399.99 for issues that aren't there and for services I didn't need. Once I confronted him he had no explanation as to why they were scamming and continued to say they were not scamming.

This fake tech support company creates fake BSOD pop-ups to lure people into believing they have a Blue Screen of Death and getting them to call the scam company. This number probably has many companies attached to it. The company I reached "Nishkul Tech" they were as expected a scam. The "Technician" I talked to named "Adam" began his scam by opening CMD and running the tree command which just list directories in the computer and he claimed he was "doing a security scan" and that it would scan the network and the computer which is an obvious lie. Once the "scan" finished he had typed "trojan installed!!! network hacked!! IP compromised!!" which was completely fake and false. Then he went on to talk about NAP or Network Access Protection. He claimed it had to be enabled which is false by default it's normally disabled and only needs to be enabled if your on a domain. After this he went into cmd again and ran netstat and claimed the IP addresses listed were there because my comodo security wasn't good enough. When they were the IP address of the LogMeIn session we were connected to. Then he went on to lie that my Comodo antivirus wasn't good enough and only protected from the viruses which is false. Then he wanted me to pay $299.95 for problems I don't have and services I don't need. After confronting him he deleted all the icons on the desktop and re-formatted my flash drive. He also told be to go "F*** myself, Real professional.

Hey everyone! In this video we call a tech support scam company that goes by the name of "Boomerang Technologies." I came across this company after reading a Malwarebytes blog (link below) about how they spammed their forms and impersonated them. So me being me, I decided to give them a call. Malwarebytes actually scambaited them and in their video, they installed a pirated version of Malwarebytes, however, my experience with them was different. After the scammer was connected, he looked at the fake pop-up message (Created by ScammerRevolts to bait scammers) and asked me if I had any security in which I replied that I had Comodo on the machine. He acknowledged this and then told me he was going to 'scan my network.' So he opened CMD and ran the 'netstat' command and lied about the NORMAL incoming and outgoing TCP connections in the machine. After this, he said my Windows wasn't activated properly so to fix this, he opens syskey, a program that locks people out of their computer. He wasn't successful with this because I disabled it ahead of time. Lastly, he told me that he was going to have to reinstall Windows and that I need to buy an iTunes gift card for the 'cloud backup' of my computer. iTunes doesn't back up computers, even if It did, a gift card wouldn't be required to do it. (NEVER trust a company that uses gift cards as a mode of payment!) I asked him about the MalwareBytes article which caused him to hang up.

My goal for this is to create a giant list of known scammers to hopefully be a guide to the public what tech support companies to avoid.

This company called me back and the stupid scammer wanted to "crash" my computer for wasting his time. Once he couldn't get connected he gave up, and tried to make me syskey my own computer. He isn't the brightest bulb in the pack.
