The video, a madcap romp juxtaposing all the beautiful highs and the terrible lows that real life (and not so real life) has to offer, was directed by comedian Alex Koll (http://alexkoll.com) and produced by the team at Clean White Lines (http://cleanwhitelines.squarespace.com), and was made possible by the generous donations of more than 100 fans when we launched a fundraiser for the production of the video in late 2011. Filming primarily took place one gorgeous day in early April 2012 (from 4am to 2am the next day) when over 100 cast & crew members helped with production, endured high winds and hot sun, and helped make our strange comedic vision come to life. They began releasing their works in 1997 and in the mid-2000s they played more than 300 shows throughout Italy. In 2010, they played in the United States thanks to a collaboration with Knowhere Records. In 2020, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their first full-length 'Il Grande Bluff' with a reissue by OverdriveRecords. 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the band and to celebrate it properly they will release the new album 'Dr. Jekyll'…e i suoi guai, after almost fifteen years since the last record. (Italian) Meat for Dogs nascono nel 93 dall’incontro di Eugenio e Rocco, spinti dalla grande passione per la musica punk rock, in breve tempo con l’arrivo di Gianky e del batterista, iniziano a comporre brani propri, che saranno poi incisi nel 96 sul 7pollici “Ritorno alla realtà”. Questo primo lavoro coprodotto da 4 etichette, godrà di un ottimo riscontro che consentirà ai Meat for Dogs di iniziare a suonare dal vivo, anche oltre i confini della Calabria. Negli anni successivi il lavoro di composizione è ancora più florido e verranno alla luce ben 4 cd “Meat for Dogs” (mini Cd omonimo 97) – “Il Grande Bluff” (Cd 2000) – “La fine delle favole” (Cd 2005) – “Il gioco” (Cd 2008). Durante questi anni, i Meat for Dogs vengono definiti come una delle migliori band punk rock della scena italiana e con oltre 300 concerti all’attivo, suoneranno praticamente in ogni parte dello stivale. Tra i tantissimi live non possono essere dimenticati, la partecipazione come unica band italiana all’Extreme Festival in quel di Cesenatico, il più importante festival Punk Italiano e la partecipazione nel 2004 al mega concerto Buoni o Cattivi Tour di Vasco Rossi davanti ad oltre 100.000 persone. Nel 2009 I Meat for Dogs, decidono di produrre un Lp in vinile di sole cover. Il disco viene coprodotto da un’etichetta americana la Knowhere records, la quale nel Luglio 2010 oragnizzerà un tour di una settimana negli Usa riscuotendo tanti consensi. Lo stesso anno segna l’ingresso alla batteria di Simone. Dall’uscita di quest’ ultimo lavoro, la band sarà impegnata nell’attività live. la band decide di ristampare il disco in versione rimasterizzata su vinile grazie alla collaborazione dell’etichetta indipendente Overdrive Rec. Il nuovo Lp, uscito in edizione limitata, riceve richieste da ogni parte di Italia ed Europa. Contemporaneamente la band rientra in studio, per registrare un nuovo brano inedito ed una cover che usciranno nell’autunno 2021 Sempre per Overdrive Rec. su uno split insieme ai cosentini “Across”. L’uscita di questo split verrà accompagnata da un nuovissimo video del brano inedito “Brucia” e vedrà la band nuovamente in giro per l’Italia con una serie di date promozionali. Il 2023 segna una data importante, ovvero di 30 anni di attività della band. Per onorare al meglio questo traguardo, i ragazzi decidono che è il momento di scrivere nuovi brani inediti e di festeggiare al meglio con l’uscita di un nuovo disco. Le registrazioni verranno fatte nei mesi di Maggio e Giugno al Soundfarm studio con l’uscita del nuovo prevista in autunno.
