Shady Grove is a traditional folk song. I pick it out on the banjo, two finger thumb lead while singing it. You might hear triplet notes throughout this one as I`ve started adding that to spice it up a bit. This song is very high up on my all time favorite song list. Easily top 10. Can`t remember where I first heard it but have been singing it for forever. I added the longest train verse to it this time. John Mason Neale translated the Latin text in 1864 to English and has been a favorite for many to sing around Christmas time but really these Christmas songs should not be limited just singing them around the holidays but year round. Anyways I sing and play it on acoustic guitar. I added more reverb than I usualIy do. I posted a version on Rumble with a lot less reverb if you want to have a look.
