I could remember random details from my childhood, but would lose 2-3 personal items a day. But guess what...after a few weeks, I could memorize a half-deck of cards in 2 minutes! Because I was lazy, I took a nine-month break. Finally I got back into it and did my first full-deck memorization today. It's really easy and fun; all you need is patience.
