Rewire Propellerheads Reason 9.5 into Logic Pro X Record Multiple MIDI
A quick tutorial on how to enable rewire mode in Logic Pro X and create multiple MIDI tracks from Reason 9.5.
FYI, I realized after I uploaded this video, I forgot to show how to route the Aux to audio tracks and Bounce a full song to record the audio: I made a video that shows how to bounce in rewire mode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjazux6esW0
Remember: If you send us a screenshot showing how you shared and spread the word about LogicProHacks, we will send you a free LogicProHacks Template of your choosing. Yes, that is right, but it has to be good...
Cool Fast Tip on how to create an isolated aux bus with it's own channel lane with Kontakt Multi Output and Logic Pro X. This will work in any DAW.

This hack is based on my desire to find a cheap Open Air PC Tech Station. I found that this hack makes a perfect work station for any computer hobbyists, overclockers, frequent upgraders, IT Professionals, PC Shops. Great for anyone needing frequent and fast access to internal PC components. It has ability for a solid non-conductive construction, tool-less storage for all PC components and lots of great features.
I plan to find some cheap non-conductive material for the motherboard to sit on and also get some nice fans and mount on the sides to keep everything nice and cool.
You can find the link to the actual Bed Bath Beyond Rack here: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/2-tier-iron-stackable-shoe-storage-rack/1041451854 (I don't have any associate with selling any products for Bed Bath and Beyond, I am just putting this link here is you want to follow and do the same.)
I also found that the sides of the sho rack will fit two 140mm fans side by side perfectly. I am now ordering 4 Corsair AF140s, two for each side of the rack. I found the Rack to be very sturdy and strong. Right now, I am using antistatic shipping wrap as an insulator on the shelf to protect the motherboard from the metal sides. I plan on creating some kind mother tray lift, but now, its just sits free on the antistatic wrap.. I just love how I can put two motherboards on this rack system. Heck, I am even thinking about getting another rack and making PC cluster. Anyhow, you cant beat the price of $30.
I can see that this hack is perfect for any type of motherboard out there like the XL-ATX, mITX, mATX, ATX, eATX, XL-ATX and those weird HPTX boards. I also plan to add a support for a possible unconventional 4-Way SLI card system, who knows? I just how this simple shoe has made so many possibilities in my world of tinkering! :-)

How to take a found Apple Drum Loop and convert it to a usable and editable MIDI file in the EXS24 sampler - The track / song is a short Bouncy Dark EMO EDM Jazz Groove made for this Logic Pro Tutorial. It features some over the top bouncy percussions, groovy kicks, snares and one very mean lead bass synth at 159 BPM.

Just a fun Bass Synth Design project using the famous helicopter-bass sound. Got inspired from an older video I saw on YouTube that detailed Sugar Bytes Bass plugin called Cyclop. Drums are just stock sounds from Logic's Ultrabeat Hip hop kit, but with a little twist: I added my ticks of spices and tweaks to it. I would love to see this project remixed. Also, Please ask any questions or if you need help just PM me. The full Logic Pro X project with all Cyclop presets can be downloaded here: https://www.logicprohacks.com/edm-cyclop-heli-bass-logic-pro-x-template

Just a short video that explains how to Fix save your MIDI over networking settings if you run into this strange bug.
Link here: https://lpx.cloud/s/FDkACijD5R5XpPd - Google Drive has been given me some problems, so I created my own cloud drive. ;-) In there you will find a zip of the Midi Utility from OS X Lion. Just extract it into the utilities directory, I already renamed it, you don't have to rename. Let me know how it works, Cheers!

Full unbiased review of the relatively new Vengence VPS Avenger Synth. In this review, I talk about the type of Laptop I am using to run it, the graphics issues I had to deal with to make this Synth run without glitching and its processing. Plus I give my experience in dealing with the convoluted licensing and what to expect from their support. I include a bunch of preset playthroughs, which include some fantastic Piano sounds, Arpeggio patterns, Epic Drum Sequences plus some stunning Ambient Soundscapes.
FYI: Sweetwater has been my go-to-source, mainly b/c I can split price into three payments with no credit check, nice on struggling musician budget ;-) https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AvengerVPS--vengeance-sound-vps-avenger - Please Keep in mind, If you go through Sweetwater, They also have to go to the source company and get the license, so it's slow process and usually takes a day or two.
However, you can go straight to the source here and get instantly, but you have to pay full price: https://www.vengeance-sound.com/plugins.php?sub=Vengeance%20Producer%20Suite%20Avenger&issue=DOWNLOADS
Plus there is also PluginBoutique who has a nice package deal. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/3201-Vengeance-Sound-VPS-Avenger-Synth

This a short video on what settings you need to set to best prep your External Synths before sampling into the EXS24 sampler for Logic Pro X. This process can be easily duplicated to work in any DAW and sampler, for the changes that are made are only changed on the external instrument. In this tutorial I am using the Korg Karma and SoundTower's Karma EditPro to edit the internal ASDR, LFOs, envelopes and Filters on my External hardware synth.

I created this video to show some cool sounds I made in Reason and to show my Logic friends the MIDI and workflow in Reason is not so good. I also named the title 'Reason Sucks' to prove a point that any type of comment or dislike is good for business. That said, Thank you for the comment and your dislike, keep it coming! And if you're so sure about how you feel, then provide evidence to back up your claim.
The general census is Reason is not for everyone: It is for people who understand and have experience with real machines, samplers, synths, mixers etc.. The main idea was to emulate the real behaviors and functions of real machines. I have been using Reason Before it was called Reason when it just a Hodge podge code called ReBirth RB-338 (1996). ReBirth was designed to emulate two Roland TB-303 synthesizers, a Roland TR-808, and a Roland TR-909 drum machine. IMO, a fantastic app and if you can find one, it sounds just as good as the real deal.
Later on Propellerheads studio started to develop "Reason" based on same ideology as reBirth, released in 2000, but at the time the biggest flaw in Reason is the inability to record audio; and it was very harsh to work in its Sequencer.
I could not stand Reason, for that reason and I found and switched to Logic Pro, which I found to be better in its MIDI workflow. Logic is faster and easier to navigate through the Editors, excellent for writing/composing.
However, Logic Pro can be a little "harsh" sounding but is still great to compose and write notes in Reason is still great to spin off some ideas and to create some interesting sounds with its combinators, especially now, with the new VST support.
