I've been saving up for some upgrades to my Creality CR10 Mini 3D printer for a while. Specifically a MicroSwiss all metal hot end and a direct drive setup. I finally got them both and now I'll be installing them. This is going to let me use a much wider variety of filiments such as glass filled nylon and a whole range of flexible materials.
Misadventures in repairing electrical motors. In this case it's my 2x72 inch belt grinder that started making noises. Unfortunately I didn't order both sizes of bearings and the way that they were still spinning makes me question if they were really bad enough to need replacing but it's too late to turn back now so check later this week for part 2 and we'll see if it works any better.
This is part of the sailboat restoration. Here I'll be removing and surface prepping the centerboard. Warning, there is a lot of this that is just me sanding the centerboard. I've sped it up but I think that it's important that anyone who might be considering this kind of project understand what they might be getting themselves into.
This ended up being just a video of me out snowshoeing on the property. The original plan was that I was going to have a part when I talk about several things but I tried using just the GoPro. The video was less than I wanted and the audio was even worse. I think that it's going to be a useful tool for me, but I need to spend some more time learning to use it. I'm still going to take this and throw it up there so y'all have something this week.
So for just a moment there was all this social media traffic talking about this "Try That in a Small Town" song. The funny thing is that I don't think that I've seen much, if any, that is calling it what it truly is: engineered outrage. Join me on my drive to work as I talk about this.
Happy Flashlight Day!!! This is a walk through time as my EDC flashlight changed from the era of alkaline batteries and incandescent bulbs to lithium rechargeable cells and LED's as well as influences from certain events both in the military and in everyday life.
PS. One light that I forgot to put in here is the Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA. Expect to see a standalone review of that light and what makes it awesome as well!
It's been a while. I've had a lot going on. A lot of it would be interesting to the channel if I would slow down and take the extra time to record it, but then I'd have to slow down and take the extra time to record it (and do at least some minimal amount of editing). More content to come and y'all please harass me if I don't!
The channel that I mentioned in the video is @123Homefree (on youtube) and I'm afraid that I got a lot of the details wrong. I think I said he's got goats and in fact it's dairy sheep, and some other stuff. Anyway, it's still an awesome channel.
More to come, until then be well and take care of each other!
This is the first in a series of videos where we will be discussing how to shoot the AR-15. There isn't much in the way of technique in this video but it gives you an idea of how to use the style of training and shooting that we're about to bo going over.
This is a concept that I came up with a while back while sitting in class and taking my pen apart because I was bored. The idea is simple enough: There's a lot of room between the side of a ball point pen and the inner shaft that actually holds the ink so let's make an emergency fishing kit by using that space to store fishing line and hooks. We're also putting some larger hooks on the outside for catching larger fish.
