This Music & Sound Model 228 was possible the victim of a lightening strike. . . Taking into account it's age (45 years) it may have been well on its way to an "age-related" failure. The NuTone IM3103 was introduced in 1985 , only 1 year after its cousin model the IM3003. The IM3103 was an enhanced version of the IM3003 and it included a dual-tape Answering Machine which could double as a cassette tape player.
