Here is a guide on how to beat the level The Canyon of Death in the Yamato, Empire of the Rising Sun campaign. This guide is for Age of Empires Definitive Edition. The first thing that you need to do is get all of your troops to the stone wall taking out the stone thrower first to avoid too many deaths. After the stone thrower has been destroyed you need to take out all of the enemies in that area whilst avoiding the cliffs above as the archers will most likely kill your troops. After all of the enemies have been killed destroy the watch tower and then proceed to knock down a section of the wall so that you can get to the transportation boats. Pick up all of your troops from the marked area and then drop them off on the island above and to the left of the screen. Gather all of the horse troops into a transportation boat and then move the rest of your troops to the bottom left side of the island. Go on to start attacking the watch towers with the stone throwers and one the enemies have been drawn towards them, unload the horse troops to capture the artifact and bring it back to the boats. Be careful bringing the artifact to the boat as the enemies will capture it back if you leave it without troops beside it. After you have picked up the artifact in the boat just simply take it to the marked area and you will have yourself a quick and easy victory. This may take a couple of attempts so feel free to save as you go along.
