The IBM Personal Computer - History, Teardown, Demo and Internet Use
In this movie, you'll get to know a little bit about the computer that started the personal computer revolution as we know it today: The IBM PC. There's a teardown of the hardware, a little history on the machine itself, and then I go crazy on making it do things it was never intended to do, like go on the Internet! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N75uinvbIjk
#IBM released the IBM PC 5150 in 1981. Internally, IBM went through massive hurdles to get a personal computer to the market to compete with the other microcomputers of the time. This documentary shows all of the happenings organisationally as well as the trade-offs and decisions that led up to IBM choosing the sluggish 8088 CPU.
