Detonator (previously known as Detonator: Bombs Away from 2014–2021) is a tower ride at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey, England, UK. It was manufactured by Fabbri and is a 'Mega Drop Tower'. It opened in 2001 along with two other 'flat' rides, Vortex and Zodiac. It is around 115 ft (35 m) and is not released via a computer. The ride operator at the bottom has a button, which can be pressed to make the car release at any time once the car has reached the top. Once released, the car is fired downwards by pneumatics rather than simply falling under gravity, with the ride reaching a speed of 46 mph at the base of the drop, giving the impression of weightlessness for riders. For the 2011 season on ride photos were added. These were later removed in the 2013 season. The ride made a world record for highest g-force on a free fall ride with 5.5g.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a theme park, zoo and hotel complex in Chessington, Greater London, England, around 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Central London. The complex opened as Chessington Zoo in 1931, with the theme park being developed alongside the zoo by The Tussauds Group and opening on 7 July 1987, as one of the first themed amusement parks in Britain. The theme park, which features over 40 rides, is now owned by Merlin Entertainments, following its merger with The Tussauds Group in 2007. Under Merlin, Chessington has been increasingly developed into a resort tourist destination, including two on-site hotels, a high ropes course and camp site.
Chessington Zoo has over 1,000 animals, including western lowland gorillas, sea lions, and Sumatran tigers. It is split up into several areas: Trail of the Kings, Sealion Bay, Children's Zoo, Amazu, Penguin Bay and the Wanyama Village and Reserve as well as a Sea Life Centre.
Chessington World Of Adventures is usually the 4th most visited park in the UK with an attendance of 1.69m in 2019 however in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and a shortened operating season along with limited park capacity the park had a huge drop in attendance and became the 3rd most visited park in 2020 behind Thorpe Park.
Chessington World of Adventures theme park consists of themed areas loosely styled on a range of world cultures. Adventure Point is an English market square, Mexicana borrows from the Wild West, Shipwreck Coast a nautical adventure land, Wild Woods a European street with Bavarian architecture, Forbidden Kingdom mirrors Egypt and Arabia, while Land of the Tiger reflects the orient, and Wild Asia an Indian jungle. Major attractions include: Vampire, Dragon's Fury, KOBRA, Tiger Rock, Scorpion Express, Zufari: Ride into Africa!, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure and Croc Drop.

Thorpe Park Resort, commonly known as Thorpe Park, is an amusement park located in the village of Thorpe between the towns of Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, England, 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Central London. It is operated by Merlin Entertainments and includes rides, themed cabins, live events and Stealth, the United Kingdom's fastest rollercoaster. In 2019 Thorpe park was the UK's third most visited theme park (1.9 million visitors), behind Alton Towers & Legoland Windsor. However, in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the park only had a 125-day operation season, along with limited capacity, leading to massively reduced visitor numbers. Despite this, Thorpe park was the second most attended theme park in the UK in 2020, behind Alton Towers.

Prepare to feel extreme G-Forces and dizzying heights
Swing high into the air to 75ft at speeds of up to 50mph and experience the feeling of up to 4G’s as you swoop back towards the ground on our air powered speed swing.

Rush is a Screamin' Swing ride at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey which opened at the park alongside another S&S – Sansei Technologies thrill ride, Slammer, in 2005. At the time of its opening, it was the tallest ride of its type in the world.
The ride begins with low swings which gradually get higher. After about five swings, it reaches its full height of 75 ft (23 m) and its top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). The approximate angle the swings reach is 104 degrees. At the peak of the swing, riders feel strong negative Gs and at the bottom, positive forces of up to 3.5 G. After four swings at its full height, the ride slows down quickly to a stop.
The ride experience is enhanced by the fact that it has a lap bar instead of the over the shoulder restraints. This gives riders more freedom and makes them feel more exposed. The ride is powered by compressed air which makes the ride extremely loud.
The ride can run on one swing if the park is quiet or if the other is not working.
The capacity with one swing is 375 riders per hour, with two swings 768 riders per hour.
