Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/ I did a quick teaching DL from home today to respond to the following meme (and briefly to one other that I don’t want to display). I used a little screen annotation app I grabbed to do a little “Flip Board without the Flip Board” exegesis in Ephesians 1 to once again expose the man-centeredness of Provisionism’s vain attempts to find a way to control the free and sovereign grace of God. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVZiA2nBWVw
First program back after nearly half a month on the road! Gave a report on the trip to Ukraine (and stops along the way), then moved on to other issues, including playing clips from David Allen (calling for fairness and accuracy of representation—so I am calling for him to be fair and accurate as well, and withdraw his false "hyper-Calvinism" charge) and Shawn McCraney (we will be examining his recent denials of the Trinity and his attacks upon the churches in his area on Thursday with Pastor Jason Wallace). I moved from there to looking at a few articles I had saved for discussion over the past few weeks, including one by real, honest-to-goodness, in-the-flesh hyper-Calvinists attacking me for not being one of them (ironic, no?), and another on the fact that Rome has, in fact, completely changed her teachings on religious liberties and freedom over the centuries. A wide ranging program indeed! Great to be back, and again, my thanks to John Samson for keeping the howling hordes of Calvinists at bay while I was gone! Well done ol' chap! Cheerio and pip pip and all! Just chuffed to bits!

Made it through a few thunderstorms during the show today focusing on unitarianism, the Christian Shema in 1 Corinthians 8, and the testimony of Ignatius to not only the deity of Christ, but the two natures of Christ as well.

In light of the US House of Representatives voting to ask God to make us like Sodom and Gomorrah, like Chorazin and Bethsaida, we talked today for an hour about God bringing judgment upon nations outside of Israel (looking at Amos 1:13) and how the culture of death is the common denominator of all the insane, self-destructive things now being promoted as moral goods in our day. The culture of death versus the culture of life, brought to us by the Lord of life, Jesus the resurrected one.

Had to start off with a little Caner news (specifically, materials from the police report of the criminal complaint Ergun Caner tried to use to stop us from giving our presentation in Lindale last year). The wave of documentation continues to grow and grow, and the shrill attacks of Caner and his defenders (Lumpkins, Rogers, Penn, et al) only show they well know the truth. But I got through that fairly quickly and managed to finish up my review of Pastor Steve Gaines' sermon from September of 2013. Next RFGs will include reviews of David Allen and Shawn McCraney.
Also, I completely forgot two important things during the program! My sincere apologies. First:
PLEASE TAKE NOTE! Next Tuesday at 11am my guest on the Dividing Line will be Dr. Michael Kruger, author of a number of vitally important and useful books. We will be discussing sola scriptura and the issue of the canon of Scripture in response to a Catholic Answers call from a few months ago. So please, don't miss this program! I trust it will be a real blessing.
The second item I forgot was this: I will be posting an article (right after this entry) relating to the Ergun Caner scandal. It was originally posted 12/19 at 9:25am at www.christianpost.com. It was pulled within the next three hours or so. The author, Dr. John Carpenter, has received no response to his inquiries as to why it was removed. I, too, have written to christianpost.com and, like him, have received no response but silence. My concern here, aside from the suppression of the truth inherent in the action, is that the executive editor of the website is none other than Dr. Richard Land, the new President of Southern Evangelical Seminary and evidently close friend of Ergun Caner as well. I think for honesty's sake the leadership of christianpost.com needs to explain themselves.

For the first ten minutes I was "Twitter distracted" and talked about "dead air nightmares" from my youth. I guess you could say the first hour was loosely connected to the Presidential Food Fight from Tuesday night, while the last 20 minutes was on the actual debates that will take place Friday and Saturday between myself and Dr. Riddle. But I covered a lot of stuff (mask mandates, the CCP, etc.) during the first hour, and then decided to tack on the discussion of the upcoming debates on the Textus Receptus. I promised to link to the live streams of the debates, and so here they are: Friday night's debate on Mark 16:9-20, and Saturday morning's debate on Ephesians 3:9.

Well, I'm not sure how to blog all of this. Since we live streamed the presentation summarizing the case against Ergun Caner Tuesday evening from Lindale, Rich decided, "Hey, we can do that." So, we are now live streaming the Dividing Line. I have no idea why anyone would want to watch me sitting there talking, but, evidently, people do. So, I will be posting both the links to the video as well as the regular mp3 audio portion as well. Today we discussed the trip to Atlanta and Texas, the Caner presentation, and a few current events, before moving back to our response to Yusuf Ismail. - James White

We had a number of audio difficulties at the start but eventually we were able to limp through.
Is there such a thing as a 'gay christian?' What is the church to do in the face of an onslaught against the gospel message. In the last fifteen minutes James reviews Ergun Caner's dismissed lawsuit against pastor Jason Smathers. James plays a clip from the video itself to show why Caner wanted this video covered up.

Took a long while to get going (technically and otherwise) but eventually got into Galatians 4:4-5 as an incarnation passage and its meaning to us at this time of the year. Then we moved over to a quick review of a couple of segments of the BBC documentary "America's Hate Preachers" and what it means to "adorn the doctrine" of God our Savior. Hopefully helpful thoughts before this special weekend.
